PAW Patrol: Blazing Avalanche || FF Book Three

(S1-C2) Initial Action

The eight pups continued to eat their food in the lookout's first floor, both floors of the lookout were still a mess and the pups and Ryder knew they'd have to clean it up at some point and replace what was destroyed, which would take time.

But for Everest, her mind ran wild while she was eating today. Both her and Marshall had been through a lot in their distant past and recent past and yet despite everything they've been through here they are, standing with teammates and friends of theirs who stood by them as their past came back to haunt them.

The vivid mental images of Ruben and Butch in her past and them at the lookout flashed into Everest's mind as she kept eating, causing tears to come out of her eyes as she laid on the ground sobbing, barely managing to choke out some words as she did.

"Marshy... we aren't safe here, Ruben and B-Butch are close"

Immediately, Marshall stopped eating his food and rubbed Everest's back. "Hey Ev... Ruben and Butch are nowhere near us... we're safe. We're at the lookout... I- it's okay"

Unfortunately for Marshall, his reassurance fell on deaf ears. By this point, Everest was hyperventilating and had clenched one of her paws on the ground as her tears fell onto the lookout floor, not allowing her to hear anything Marshall, Ryder or any of the pups were saying to her.

"Marshall, I had an idea" Ryder suddenly said as Marshall shot his gaze partially over to the leader of the Paw Patrol, still not taking his eyes off of Everest. "I think you could set up a date for you and Everest to reaffirm how both of you are safe, I also know you've been planning one due to you talking in your sleep" Ryder lightly joked as Marshall considered this. It was true he had been planning one since he confessed his feelings to Everest on Jake's mountain, but with everything that had happened since then, the Dalmatian hadn't had time to work on these plans.

"Ryder I like the idea, can you help me out with it?"

"Of course I'll help you Marshall"

Adventure City - Assisted Animal Therapy 10:30 AM

"Lots to do, lots to do" a girl mutters, a name plate on her light blue employee shirt revealing her name to be Rebecca.

Looking over, she saw an email in her employee inbox from her manager, it was titled "Reminder".

Opening it up, she read the message out loud.

"Hey Rebecca! Don't forget that your first meeting with the two pups in Adventure Bay is tomorrow okay?"

She had actually been preparing for it already, she had worked with a lot of dogs and cats before but talking ones were new to her, and according to Ryder, their trauma ran deep, making PTSD an unfortunate likely diagnosis.

"Of course it's tomorrow, I wouldn't forget that. Now then, I remember getting a message from both client's owner so I'll take a look at that and respond"

Reading the message out loud, it read "That sounds good Rebecca, I'll speak to Marshall and Everest about what time you'll be here and then you can have a discussion with the two pups. See you at the lookout tomorrow"

"Yeah that makes sense, I'll send a reply to confirm the plan. After that, I'll have to begin driving to Adventure Bay for the first meeting" Rebecca thought to herself, formulating a plan in her head.

"Great, as of sending this, I'm beginning to drive to Adventure Bay now" Rebecca typed as she sent the message.

And with that, Rebecca walked out into the bright skyline of Adventure City and began walking to her car.

Adventure Bay - Jungle Outskirts 10:45 AM

Around two hours later, Ruben and Butch had pulled up in their jungle base. The old building they had violently taken control of had moldy wood that was rotting inside out. The foundations of the building were also beginning to split apart, revealing the age of the building.

Opening the doors and walking out of the car, Ruben and Butch looked towards the building as Butch pulled out his radio and began getting in contact with the pup he mentioned earlier.

Shooting a look back at his longtime partner in crime, Ruben walked past Butch and spoke to him as he walked to the base.

"Alright Butch, you go speak to that pup or whoever the fuck you said you needed to speak to. I'm going to go plan our next move on Adventure Bay and Marshall and Everest"

"Alright Ruben, I left some initial plans on the computer in there"

As Ruben heard this, he opened the front door to the base, the door nearly falling off of its hinges as it opened, making an ear splitting sound as it did so to reveal the interior of the base.

If you don't judge a book by its cover, if you saw the exterior of this base and then the interior, you would definitely be able to tell the cover of this hook told the full story. The floor of the base was a partially carpeted, moldy mess along with the walls. The old computer Butch had mentioned was powered on in the corner of the main room, with a planning board behind it on the wall.

The planning board had an image of Adventure Bay's city hall on it, an image of Marshall and an image of Everest, both images adjacent to one another. The base the two pups were originally captured and tortured in was seen with red arrows pointing it to both Marshall and Everest. And finally, an image of a bomb was seen connected to the city hall image.

"Ah I see, we're going to bomb city hall"

Adventure Bay - Jungle Outskirts with Butch

As Butch pulled out his radio, a young pup's voice came across.

"Ah I see you're ready to move onto the next stage of the plan, Butch. Don't worry, I am as well"

"Fantastic, as our inside mole in that area, we'll need you to provide information on their movements for a later stage of the plan. We'll discuss more when you're in Adventure Bay"

And there's the second chapter of Blazing Avalanche! As of now, twenty two chapters are fully written and ready to go, but with semester two of high school starting up for me, updates on Pups on Mount Everest and Blazing Avalanche will be updated a bit slower! See you all in the next update!
