Butch walked out of city hall after communicating this with Ruben, not wanting to be caught by anyone inside of Adventure Bay leaving the area where a bomb was planted.
"Ruben, I hope that damned gear is ready to go. I'm about to activate the bomb for a thirty minute timer, we need to be in position to ambush the members of the Paw Patrol that come to try and stop us" Butch shouted, not caring for how loud he is right now.
On the other end, Ruben had finished cleaning the armor and weapons, red dot sights had been fitted to the rifles for ease of aiming on target.
The plan was to give Ryder, the leader of the Paw Patrol a choice, Marshall would be put at gunpoint at city hall and the choice will be clear for Ryder. Give Marshall and Everest to him and Butch, or they'll shoot Marshall in cold blood in front of everyone there.
"It's foolproof Butch, Ryder would be an idiot to let one of his pups get killed at all. He'll surely give in to protect Marshall's life in the short term. And I've got that gear ready; I'm about to drive to City Hall now."
As Butch heard those words, he tapped a small red button on the remote activator and the bomb began counting down from 30 minutes.
"Ruben, get that gear down here fast. The bomb is counting down from 30 minutes, I have a call to make to the Mutt Patrol."
Ruben slightly laughed at this as he jumped into the other car this building had in its garage, firing up the engine as he drove down. "Copy that Butch."

Adventure Bay - Lookout 4:35 PM
Ryder had come up from the basement with Chase around an hour ago, but he didn't expect his pup pad to start ringing with an unknown number. Normally, it was someone the Paw Patrol knew who called them, but he knew he had to answer.
"Hello. Ryder here."
"Hello Paw Patrol. I'm calling to report a bomb at City Hall." Butch said, using a slight voice changer to mask his voice that he was sure the Paw Patrol already knew.
"A WHAT? WHERE IS IT?" Ryder shouted, alarmed at the situation.
"City hall. I saw two criminals plant it in the lobby and run away. We need someone to defuse it before city hall explodes."
"Shit! Alright we're on it, thank you for telling us." Ryder yelled, cutting the call immediately.
Wasting no time, Ryder kept his pup pad out and called the Paw Patrol to the lookout with a heightened sense of urgency.
"Paw Patrol to the lookout! And be fast! We have a big emergency."

The pups and Rebecca had all been sitting around on the first floor of the lookout as the announcement came through. Normally Ryder didn't sound this nervous when calling them to the lookout, and a big emergency? What is it?
The pups brushed this concern off, Ryder needed them, Adventure Bay needs them, and they know that whatever's going on, has to be taken care of.
But for Rebecca, she only saw the pups who had been chatting calmly moments before, rush into the elevator with focused expressions.
