This is the final chapter of season 1 of Blazing Avalanche! This chapter is going to be extremely pivotal to the story and where it goes moving forward so I'll keep this AN short and get right into the action.
Everest shook her thoughts off for now, right now, her focus was on Marshall and his recovery. Revenge on Ruben, Butch and any of their allies could wait for now.
"Just hang in there Marshy... you'll recover from this attack and we'll both go out there and get revenge, if it's the last thing I ever do." Everest thought to herself once more, pulling into the parking lot alongside the rest of the group as the rain poured down.
Meanwhile, Rocky, Chase and Ryder had been waiting around in the lobby, trying to be patient for any news that Katie could bring, hoping that Marshall was doing okay.
"Hello Ryder, we're here." Ryder and the two pups heard as the front doors opened, revealing Rebecca and the other pups as they walked in slowly.
"Sorry the first time we've spoken since the mission at City Hall is under circumstances like these, pups. But Marshall required immediate medical attention." Ryder apologized, running his hand through his hair as he spoke.

Katie's Clinic - Emergency RoomKatie's emergency room is a fairly quiet place most of the time, but today was not one of those days. She had already set Marshall down on a trauma bed, the Dalmatian still passed out from the injury as his body continued to breath subconsciously.
She also had a few tools on a small table near the trauma bed Marshall was on, mainly just a flashlight but some other tools were there like scissors and a scalpel just in case the bullet was still in Marshall's body and she couldn't get to it from the wound itself.
"I need to make sure the bullet didn't get lodged in Marshall's body." Katie reminded herself as she put her gloves on and picked up the flashlight.
Holding onto Marshall's chest with one hand, she shined the flashlight into the currently open gunshot wound to try and find out if the bullet was lodged in the flesh or not.
As she shined the light, she finally got a decent look at the injury and how lucky and unlucky Marshall was at the same time. "He definitely got shot from behind looking at this, it seems like the bullet went through the vest he had on when Ryder brought him in, and then through the flesh. I'll have to stitch the wound shut for now and tell Ryder to make sure Marshall takes it easy as he heals." Katie thought to herself as she noted down that the bullet didn't let lodged in Marshall's body.
But before anything, now that the injury was checked to make sure the bullet didn't get lodged, it had to be closed to avoid infection.
But as Katie picked up her sutures and needle, Marshall shot awake in pain. "W...what happened? A- Where am I?" He coughed out, looking behind himself to see the open wound.
Immediately, Katie got away from the table and put down the sutures and needle for now so she could help Marshall calm down.
"Marshall, Marshall, look at me." Katie said gently, getting Marshall's attention as he cringed in pain. "Ryder, Chase and Rocky brought you here after what happened. You're at my clinic and you're injured right now. I was about to stitch the wound shut." Katie assured, rubbing Marshall's neck as she did.
"O-Okay... Katie do what you need to do, I'm going to stay as still as I can." Marshall said, breathing a bit slower as he calmed down slightly. The pain in his chest still hurt, but Katie's assuring words calmed him down slightly.
"Marshall, I need to get the procedure to close the wound ready. Stay here, I'll be back shortly with Ryder and then we can get the stitching done, okay?"
