"Sweetie is that you?" Inko called out when she heard the front door open. "No." Izuku replied back jokingly as he took off his shoes and put them back in the closet. Once he finished putting his shoes away he walked into the kitchen and saw his mom seasoning something.

"Whatcha making?" Izuku asked as he rested his chin on his mom's shoulder. "Food." Inko said back jokingly which made the teen smile. He took his chin off of her shoulder and looked down at the food she had already made noticing that it was a lot more than usual.

"Are we having guests over or something?" Izuku questioned the woman when he saw the surplus of food. "Actual we are!" Inko said right before walking over to the oven and putting the food inside of it.

"Who is it?" Izuku asked as he watched his mom go over to the sink and wash her hands.

"It's my best friend from college! I ran into her at the grocery store and found out that she moved to town recently so I invited her and her family over so we could catch up!" Inko said excitedly.

"Aww that's nice, ha I can't wait to ask her how embarrassing you were around my age." Izuku joked causing the woman to frown at him playfully. "Oh, hush I wasn't that embarrassing as a kid. Honestly, she was way worse than me." Inko said making the teen giggle.

Inko had a soft smile on her face as she watched the boy continuing to laugh and smile as their dog slowly walked over to him. "Oh, Izuku." Inko began to say as a thought crossed her mind. The teen replied with a simple hum as he crouched down and began to pet the dog.

"You came home early again. Is everything okay at the batting cages?" Inko asked the boy. Izuku slowly nodded his head. "Yeah everything's fine I'm just... saving up my money to buy something." Izuku lied. "Oh, do you need some new gear? I think I have some spare cash in my purse." Inko said and was about to go and get her purse but was stopped by the boy.

"No it's fine I can pay for it myself." Izuku told her. "You sure? You know I don't mind." Inko said letting the boy know that it was okay. Izuku smiled at his mom and shook his head. "Don't worry about it. So do you need some help with dinner?" Izuku asked making his mom smile.

"An extra set of hands would be nice." Inko said and the two then looked down at their dog Hiro who let out a small whine. "Haha, And paws." Inko said causing the dog to pant happily and wag his tail.

"So does your friend have any kids?" Izuku asked as he washed his hands so he could help his mom out with the cooking. "She has a son actually." Inko told the boy. "Ooh, really how old are they!?" Izuku asked excitedly hoping that the boy was around Kota's age since he likes spending time with kids. "He's your age!" "My age?" Izuku repeated surprised by the answer.

"But I didn't hear anything about a new kid coming to school. Did you Hiro?" Izuku asked the dog as he opened the pack of gyoza wrappers. The dog let out a small growl in reply. "See Hiro didn't hear anything about it either." Izuku said as he placed the opened pack of wrappers to the side. "Ha, Well, that's because he doesn't go to A.U." Inko said as she poured some ingredients into a large cooking bowl.

"Oh, Then what school does he go to?" Izuku asked as he lightly sprinkled some flour onto a pan. Inko let out a small sigh before she turned around to face the boy.

"Don't get upset." Inko told the teen who just giggled while he rubbed his hands together trying to get the excess flour off.

"Ha, Why would I get upset over what school he goes to? You know unless it's-" Izuku stopped what he was saying as his eyes widened in realization. He looked over at his mom to see her smiling awkwardly at him as she raised her hands and shoulders up in a slight shrug.
