Deku peeked his head over the fence at the U.A. baseball field. His eyes scanned across the field in search of any clues as to where they could be hiding Pino.

'If I was Monoma where would I hide a bird that I stole? He probably wants to keep her close to him, or maybe he left her at his house?' Deku thought. The boy's attention was diverted when he looked out at the field and saw Bakugou up at bat.

Deku narrowed his eyes in concern as he watched Bakugou struggle to hit the pitches that Monoma was throwing at him. "What's with him?" Deku mumbled to himself. The teen continued to watch the boy and noticed their coach, Enji Todoroki, walking up to the blonde.

Bakugou hung his head low as he listened to Enji loudly berate him and point toward the dugout, signaling for him to go and take a quick break. Deku looked around before sneaking toward the dugout.

Deku approached the dugout but frowned when he didn't see Bakugou around. "Where'd he go?" The teen wondered aloud. "What are you doing here?" Deku quickly turned around and narrowed his eyes when he saw Monoma walking up to him.

"Well, I was here to try and find where you hid Pino." Deku crossed his arms and told the boy. "Pfft, do you really think I'm dumb enough to keep that bird around me when I know you losers would try to steal it back? Ha, You're not getting that bird back." Monoma said with a smirk.

Deku's frown deepened before he clicked his teeth and looked away from the boy. The coy smirk was still on Monoma's face as he watched Deku turn around to walk away.

"Oh golden boy..." Monoma started to say causing Deku to stop and look back at him. "The exit's that way." Monoma said as he pointed his thumb behind him. Deku rolled his eyes before speaking again.

"I know, I just need to talk to Bakugou for a second." Deku responded. The smile on Monoma's face slowly went away upon hearing this. "Why?" Monoma asked as he narrowed his eyes slightly in confusion.

"He seemed off when you guys were practicing, like there was something bothering him? I just wanted to know what's wrong." Deku explained while his eyes downcasted in concern. Monoma noticed the teen's worried expression and thought back to the times that he has seen Deku and Bakugou together.

"I didn't know you cared so much about your opponents." Monoma said flatly. Deku's eyes widened slightly at the boy's comment, realizing how what he said could be interpreted. He then looked up at Monoma and glared at the teen.

"I don't. I just...I want to make sure that whoever I'm up against is gonna be at their best. I don't want to win because someone is having an off day." Deku said quickly coming up with an excuse. "*scoff* Even if we were having an off day we would still be able to take you clowns down." Monoma insulted the boy, the cocky expression returning to his face as he did so.

Deku merely rolled his eyes and shook his head at the blonde. "Ugh, why do I even bother trying to talk to you? You never listen to what I have to say... Just forget I was here." Deku said as he walked past Monoma and headed toward the exit. Monoma's smirk widened when he noticed Bakugou drinking from a water bottle as he walked toward them.

"Fine. And I won't tell Bakugou anything." Monoma turned around and said to Deku who didn't look back and simply rolled his eyes as he continued to walk away.

"Tell me what?" Bakugou lowered his drink and questioned the other blonde when he got closer to him. "Oh nothing." Monoma looked at the boy and said with a smirk.

Bakugou quirked his eyebrow up questionably before turning his attention to the green-haired boy who had walked away. "Is that Deku?" Bakugou asked the boy next to him while he squinted his eyes to look at the teen that was further away.
