Loooong Chapter
—————————————————————Monoma put his key back into his pocket when he stepped inside his house. 'I can't wait to play this later!' Monoma thought as he looked inside the plastic bag he was holding and smiled at the video game.
The boy began walking down the hall toward his room but stopped when he heard someone say his name. He slowly turned around and walked back to the entrance of his living room.
"Father, I uh didn't know you were home." Neito said when he saw the tall blonde man standing in the living room with his arms crossed.
"Where have you been?" The man asked as he glared down at the boy. Neito swallowed the lump in his throat and slowly moved the plastic bag behind his back before speaking.
"I was just hanging out with some friends." Neito answered, unable to look his father in the eyes as he did so. "*scoff* I can't believe you're wasting potential practicing time like this. With all this nonsense it's no wonder why you lost to A.U." The man said causing Neito's eyes to widen.
"What you didn't think I would find out? It was the first thing I asked about when I got here!" The man yelled causing Neito to flinch slightly. "What is this now your third time losing to them?" Mr. Monoma questioned as he closed his eyes and let out a sigh. "Forth actually..." Neito mumbled. "That's even worse!" His father yelled at him causing him to flinch again as he stared at the floor.
"But do you know what I find more insulting than you losing again? Is the fact that you let some nobody show you up!" Mr. Monoma pointed at Neito and yelled. "Why the hell did you let that Bakugou kid strike out Deku!?" The man shouted.
"He didn't strike him out!" Neito looked up at the man and yelled defensively. "And his shitty pitch caused Deku to-"
*smack*
Neito's head was now turned and his eyes were wide as they were now focused on the ground, the left side of his face stung with a fresh red handprint. "What have I told you about talking back to me." Mr. Monoma said sternly as he narrowed his eyes at the boy. Neito remained silent as he bit his trembling lip and continued to look at the ground.
The grown man let out an annoyed sigh as he ran his fingers through his short blonde hair. "I guess some of this is my fault I haven't been around enough to properly teach you how to crush that f*g school, especially that shitty brat Deku. But that will all change soon." The man said. This seemed to peak Neito's curiosity as the teen slowly turned his head and looked at his dad.
"W-what do you mean?" Neito asked the man. "You'll see." Mr. Monoma said and began to walk out of the room. As he walked, he took the plastic bag Neito was hiding behind his back. Neito turned round and reached for the bag only for the man to move it out of his reach.
"You'll get this back once you prove to me that I didn't raise a failure of a son." The man said as he glared down at the teen. "Now you better be ready to practice in the next ten minutes." He said before exiting the living room, leaving Neito to stand there gritting his teeth and clutching his fist in frustration.
Monoma entered his bedroom and walked straight to his closet. He went into the closet and grabbed his duffel bag full of baseball equipment from the top shelf. When he did this he accidentally knocked something down.
Monoma bent down to see what had fallen. A frown appeared on the teen's face when he saw that it was an old photo album. He picked up the book and dusted off the cover before opening it.
"I forgot I still had this." He mumbled as he slowly flipped through the pages. The photo album was filled with photos of his younger self and a little boy with curly green hair and freckles dotted across his face.
