A/N - I know nothing about how baseball games work! :)
———————————————————————"Alright, folks the thirty minutes of pre-game are almost over the game will begin in just a few minutes! Are you all excited!" Mic announced. "I know I am!" Midnight commented.
"Hey Mina!" Deku called out to the pink-haired girl, gaining her attention. "Your batting has gotten better." Deku complimented the girl. "Aww thank you for noticing bestie! Apparently, all I had to do was tightened my stance and then I was able to hit the balls farther!" Mina told the boy as they walked toward the dugout.
"Haha, that's great who told you to do that?" Deku asked and smirked at the girl since he already knew All Might was the one that helped her, he just wants her to say it.
"Pfft, no one told me to do it but that jerk All Might told me that I wouldn't be able to pull it off and that I lacked the natural talent that A.U. has. Can you believe that!?" Mina spread her arms out and exclaimed.
"I can't believe he said that to you." Deku said pretending to sound shocked. "I know right!? So obviously I had to practice tightening my stance and prove him wrong." Mina crossed her arms and said. "So you followed his advice and it ended up helping you?" Deku said and smiled knowing that the reverse psychology worked.
Mina let out a scoff before speaking. "I didn't follow his advice. I just...wait." Mina said and stopped walking when she realized that All Might's advice did help her.
Deku looked back at the girl and smiled before he continued his walk to the dugout. 'Wait so he was being serious about wanting to coach us!?' Mina thought. "Huh." She breathed out before catching up to Deku and the other team members.
Both schools huddled up with their respective team and listened to the speech their coach was giving to them.
"Alright brats, it's the first game of the season let's start this off right by winning it and keeping our streak against those snobs." Aizawa began to say to the group of teens.
"I want to see good plays out there. Don't disappoint me, if you do you all are going to be doing suicides until you pass out, understood?" Aizawa asked the group getting a resounding "Yes coach!" from everyone.
Aizawa scanned his eyes across the teen's faces and smiled slightly at the determined look on each and every one of their faces. Plus their cat mascot was huddled with the group and Aizawa has a soft spot for anything cat related. The man's gaze then landed on Deku and his eyes narrowed in concern when he did so.
"Deku." Aizawa spoke gaining the freckled face boy's attention. "You're sure you can play today?" Aizawa asked the teen who nodded his head and replied. "I'm perfectly fine you don't have to worry about me coach." Deku told the man. Rody, who was standing next to Deku, squeezed the boy's shoulder causing Deku to look up at him. Rody gave him a reassuring smile which Deku returned back to him.
"Alright you heard him we have nothing to worry about so let's get out there and show those assholes who they're messing with." Aizawa said getting a cheer from everyone. The man then looked over at Dabi and nodded his head at him. Dabi nodded back and put his hand in the middle of the circle. Everyone quickly joined the boy and put their hands on top of each other.
"AU on three!" Dabi began to shout. "ONE! TWO! THREE!" "AU!" The teens and Aizawa yelled and raised their hands in the air. Toshinori who was slow to do the cheer missed his chance to put his hand in the middle with everyone and said the school's name late causing him to get some eye rolls from the team.
"Uh, G-good luck out their team!" Toshinori called out to the teens currently walking toward the field. "We don't need it!" Mina, not even bothering to look back at the man, yelled in response. Toshinor's eyes widened slightly as he wasn't expecting anyone to respond back to him. "She didn't ignore me." Toshinori mumbled to himself in surprise and let out a soft chuckle.
