Long chapter
——————————————————————Bakugou took in a deep breath as he used his hand and brushed his bangs back. He moved his hand away from his hair and looked up at his rearview mirror. He frowned when he saw Deku sitting down at a picnic table.
"Okay Katsuki, he actually showed up meaning he doesn't completely hate you for being a dick to him... again." Bakugou said trying to give himself a mini pep talk before meeting with Deku. The blonde covered his face with his hands and let out an agitated groan as he dragged his hands down his skin.
"I should have practiced more." He mumbled to himself before looking back up at the rearview mirror. A sigh then escaped his mouth. "Don't fuck this up Kat." Bakugou told himself before stepping out of his car.
Deku looked away from his phone when he noticed the blonde walking over to him. "Hey." Bakugou said and raised his hand and waved slightly at the boy. "Hey." Deku replied back with a small smile of his own.
"So uh about yesterday..." Bakugou began to say as he nervously rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm really sorry that those guys found out about your mom's store and started messing with you and the customers. I swear I didn't bring them there on purpose or anything, I just wasn't paying attention to my surroundings and they noticed you through the window and I couldn't convince them to just walk away." Bakugou explained.
"I also feel really really awful for saying all that stuff about you and your dad. I shouldn't have said any of that I stepped way out of line. I don't blame you for being angry at me, I would be pissed too if someone said that about my granddad." Bakugou continued his apology.
"So, sorry again. Can you forgive me?" Bakugou asked the teen. Deku got up from his seat and walked over to the boy. He used both his hands and pushed the corners of Bakugou's mouth up turning his frown into a smile. "Ha, you look better when your smiling." Deku closed his eyes and giggled making Bakugou's face flush red.
"I know you didn't mean anything you said yesterday" Deku began to say as he moved his hands away from the boy's face. "So sorry for yelling at you like that it's just what you said really, really hurt." Deku said while giving the boy a pained smile. The feeling of guilt started to bubble up in the blonde's stomach once again causing him to look down so he wouldn't have to meet Deku's eyes.
"Sorry." Bakugou apologized again. "It's fine and besides I like to think that some people have a certain amount of chances they're given before they can be seen as an actual bad person. Like how in baseball people only get three chances to hit the ball and on the third strike they're out." Deku explained to the teen.
"Ha, I guess I just earned my first strike then, huh?" Bakugou looked back at the boy and asked. "Actually, this is your second one." Deku said while giving the boy a nervous smile and holding up two fingers. "My second!?" Bakugou exclaimed in surprise. Deku pressed his lips together and nodded his head.
"When did I get my first strike?" Bakugou asked. "Uh, the day when you insulted my friends and lied to my mom about me breaking your nose." Deku told the teen. "*sigh* That's fair." Bakugou closed his eyes and sighed out dejectedly making Deku laugh lightly.
"So is there any way I can get rid of a strike?" Bakugou looked back at the green-haired boy and questioned. "Umm, I don't know." Deku said and tried to hold in his laughter when he saw the confused look on the blonde's face. "How the hell do you not know it's your rule." Bakugou said making Deku shrug his shoulders.
"I don't know I never really considered taking away someone's strikes before, but I guess I could take away someone's strike if they were to I don't know make a grand heartfelt apology or something." Deku concluded. "So what your saying is that my apology wasn't grand or heartfelt enough?" Bakugou said with a semi-annoyed look on his face.
