Chapter 9: The Truth

Hazel's POV

"Yes kitten?" Niall asked kneeling in front of me. "Umm, am I in trouble?" I asked even though I knew the answer. "Well let's talk about it." Niall said and I nodded.

"Do you know what you did?" Niall asked.

I got scared so I looked at my lap and nodded then quickly told Niall, "I hurt Zayn. But I am sorry. I didn't mean to. I just did because..." then I stopped.

"Because..." Niall asked, confused. "Because I did that to my mom and dad when they were coming towards me so they couldn't hit me." Then I stopped.

I felt Niall hug me tight and it felt like when Zayn hugged me. I felt loved. I felt as if everything was going to be alright. I felt safe and no one could ever hurt me again.

Soon Niall let go and stood up. He put his arms up to stretch but then he stumbled and fell onto the floor.

"Are you ok?" I asked. Niall replied with "Yes I'm fine!" And then started laughing.

I started to laugh as well but not loud until Niall made a really funny face. We were both laughing our heads of until the door opened. I got scared and jumped into Niall's arms then I noticed it was the boys.

They all looked confused then Liam said "I'm confused."

Niall got me a bottle of water and told me to stay on the couch while he talks to the boys. Before Niall left to talk with the boys I asked him a question that i keep telling myself.

"Does Zayn hate me?" He gave me a hug and told me, "No, no one hates you. Especially not in this house. Ok?" Niall asked.

I nodded and he left to talk with the boys. As Niall was talking with the boys I started to get scared that something bad will happen. Then they all came in.

Louis' POV

Niall got Hazel a bottle of water then he came and talked to us.

Niall took a breath that started to speak, "Ok so I found her in the cupboard where we hang our coats. She was banging her head on the wall and was crying. I took her out and placed her on the couch. I was about to go up and say that I found her but she screamed for me to wait. So I went to her and she told some things about her past. It wasn't the best description but we can talk about that with her later since it's 2 in the morning."

"What did she say about her past?" Liam asked worried.

"Well she said that she used to bite her mom and dad when they would come towards her. But the thing is they would hit her. I didn't get much so I don't know how much they used to hit her or how bad it was but we can asked her that tomorrow." Niall finishes we all agreed and walked in to where Hazel was.

Hazel quickly turned her head towards us and started to speak, "I'm sorry Zayn. I-I-I" then she started to cry.

Zayn walked over to her and gave her a hug. "It's ok petal." He said while rubbing her back. "I did it because I did it to my mommy and daddy when they were gonna hit me. I got scared so I did it but I'm sorry." She said while hugging him.

"It's ok petal. You are safe with us. We won't hit you. Let's go to bed and we can talk about this later because it's late and we have to do something tomorrow. Ok?" Zayn said as Hazel nodded.

We walked Hazel back up to her room. "Goodnight" we all say, giving her another hug and a kiss on the head goodnight before we start to walk out the room.

"Wait!" We heard a small voice say. We all turned around a walked a little closer, waiting for her to carry on. "Can one of you sleep with me please?" She asked.

"Of course cupcake. Who do you want to sleep with?" Harry asked. "Niall." She said and Niall hopped into her bed and we all headed back to our rooms.

Now time to sleep, then the darkness took over.
