"Thank you"

He felt the need to tell her. She did so much for him already. However, he couldn't help but feel a little shy and awkward as he showed gratification towards her. Her blank features morphed into a relaxed one as a small chuckle left her lips instantly lifting up the tensed up air that surrounded them.

"Don't sweat it. I don't mind you staying over. You're going to help me a lot" she truthfully confessed out taking him by surprise. "What?" he began to panic as some delusional thoughts roamed his mind at the random comment she threw at him. It made no sense whatsoever.

What's she going to do to me? Sell my organs! Kill me! I knew I shouldn't have trusted her

"I told you already, didn't I? I will help you return to your home but that means we need to retrieve your memory and figure out what's wrong with you. I'm going to study you well. I have never met someone with your kind of illness before Jeno. You speak such weird language" she sighed, tutting her head while giving him a sympathetic look.

"Weird language" he gave an unamused expression, folding his arms unimpressed by how she worded it. Yet he felt satisfied that it wasn't anything majorly worrying like his life being at stake.

"You are one fine specimen Jeno"

Hearing her call him a specimen made his eyes widen by a fraction however, a sudden vibration of laughter erupted off his chest. He didn't know why he found it funny but it was amusing. Strangely he found it entertaining how she speaks and perceives him.

Ga-eun halted her words as she gazed at him in awe. His laugh rang in the windy air carrying small leaves and dandelions to circle around them. The gush of breeze whispering down their path, sending her hair to ruffle in all directions. Though it brushed past her ears and blocked her vision she did not care. Her sight was solely training on the boy as an unusual scene played out in front of her.

Standing up straight he looked down to find Ga-eun's eyes connected with his. Her lips parted and pupils wandered between his back and forth. The scent of her jasmine shampoo wafted through the wind. It strangely soothed him down. He felt unusual under her gaze. He could feel his heart racing a mile.

But it was not the type when you're flustered. It was more like he was petrified. Scared that she was going to do something to him. In all honesty, Jeno doesn't fear people that much. He is quite mentally strong however, ever since he experienced an arrow being shot at him and a dagger being pierced at the side of his throat by this petite sized girl he learned to be cautious of the surroundings that he is in right now.

Yes, she seems like a kind-hearted person, innocent, weak and frail. But a part of him believed that she has the potential and is the type who wouldn't hesitate to kill him. Especially because he had a glimpse of her skill with weapons. But then again the girl did say how she wouldn't hurt a human and has never done so before. He really does want to trust her. Probably because of how welcoming she is and how she has an approachable personality. But that's what makes her suspicious.

Jeno has a hard time trusting random strangers' words. Anyone would. He was debating on whether she is actually nice like what she displays to be or if she is just playing around with him before planning something devious.

Yet again she is a herbalist who works to help people and treat them as a living. Surely she wouldn't hurt him. It felt like his heart was playing a tug of war unable to understand what her true goal was.

Gulping down Jeno moved his head back at the awkward atmosphere that was being accumulated above them. However, as soon as a soft smile was sent his way, he relaxed slightly and let out a heavy breather. "I didn't think that you could laugh" she folded her arms and playfully narrowed her eyes at him.

Rolling his eyes, Jeno clicked his tongue, looking away from her. "I have emotions as well," he muttered under his breath.
