The morning sun had risen bathing the land in its glory

The morning sun had risen bathing the land in its glory. Scattering down on the vast, gorgeous field of plants and nature stretching to infinity. Failing to block out the sunlight, the small parting between her curtains let it penetrate into her room. The rays directly hit on her eyelids when the girl turned around to the other side of the bed. Sadly, it woke her up and she now couldn't get back to sleep.

Sitting up lethargically she blinked a few times and yawned to get rid of any ounce of slumber in her system. But then a thought invaded her mind.

How am I even in my room?

The last memory she had was sitting outside on the bench next to Jeno. Rubbing her forehead she blinked a few times and halted in her thoughts when a gentle knock was heard on her bedroom door. Drifting her head towards the sound she stood up making way so that she could open it.

When she did Jeno was standing still hands in pockets. Raising her brow she waited for him to speak. Clearing his throat Jeno scratched the back of his nape. "Jisung said that we are going out today in an hour," he informed to which she nodded her head half-heartedly still feeling fatigue .

However before he could even leave Ga-eun grabbed his sleeve stopping the boy from stepping away. Confused, he turned back around in utter perplexity.

"How did I get back into my bed?" she questioned to which the boy's lips parted slightly not sure how to answer.

Ga-eun did not carry on the conversation about his mother. She felt like speaking about her too much would make the boy feel even more terrible. He had already mentioned how he misses her. She didn't want to make him feel any worse.

Due to not conversing there was nothing but silence settled in the heavy misty air. It wasn't awkward. Rather the opposite and quite comfortable. Jeno was just enjoying the night air and surroundings. Eyes shut taking in the peaceful aroma.

He loved it

It felt comforting. Glad that he is able to act like himself and not place on attributes and behaviour which isn't the real Jeno.

He felt free

Like the Phoenix' that he now and then spots soaring the skies. Although he wanted to go back home he felt grateful for this place for letting him enjoy his life. Grateful that he is treated as a human and not a celebrity.

As he was taking in all the pleasing thoughts he felt a weight falling on his shoulder making the boy shoot his eyes open. Tensed up, he stiffly darted his orbs to the side to find Ga-eun calmly sleeping on the boy's shoulder.

Lips slightly parted and eyes gently shut closed with her long eyelashes facing down. He tilted his head to hear soft snores leaving her plump lips. Her cheek was squished against his shoulder. In his eyes she looked so delicate, fragile. An innocent soul who needed taking care of. Always hyper and smiley. Never dwelling on worries that she needs to face.

She is such a positive thinker and mentally strong. He really admires that about her. No matter what problem comes her way she overcomes them and always tries to find a alternative path. It encouraged him to believe her every time she said that she will find his way back. She was like like guardian angel. Giving him hope.

Releasing a heavy breather Jeno unwrapped the blanket that was dropped over his shoulders. Carefully enveloping her into it like a kebab, he picked her up bridal style before taking the girl inside.

Not wanting to wake her up he walked up the stairs quietly knowing that it would be awkward if she woke up in his arms.

Luckily she did not.

Jeno made a thin line with his lips before faking a scoff. "Did you forget? You walked back to your room yourself" he lied to which the girl seemed to be deceived quite easily. "Huh?" She scratched her neck, not able to remember this memory.

"I must've been so tired that I didn't notice" she mumbled. Holding back the ghost of a smile he nodded his head humming in agreement.

She's so gullible

"Anyway get ready. Jisung said to have breakfast so we can leave" he turned away walking down the stairs. As soon as he hit the bottom floor a grin filled up his straight expression

Idiot - he chuckled
