"Meeting?" Ga-eun raised a brow not hearing this before. Slowly Mark nodded, placing some carrots into the trolley. "Is that why he wore formal clothing?" she pondered remembering how she had to help him with the tie in the morning. Humming lightly Mark shook his head. "No that was for something else"
"Then what's the meeting for?" Ga-eun furthered out of curiosity as she tried to pull out of So-hye's grasp. The young girl was pulling on Ga-eun's raven hair. She reminded her of Fena. Sighing she looked over to the toddler who just giggled. "Can I hold her now?" Jisung asked suddenly.
Barely even paying attention to her younger brother she immediately handed the 2 year old to Jisung's open arms. So-hye happily latched onto him like a baby koala, resting her chin on his broad shoulder. But now she was pulling on his hair making Jisung kind of regret even taking her away from Ga-eun. "Anyway I was sayin-"
"The dating scandal" Mark interjected realising that she was repeating her question. At her clueless state he carried on. "Before you guys came Jeno and Yebin were spotted outside and the media thought they were dating" at the news Ga-euns features fell apart at an instant. Averting her gaze onto the ground she kicked the floor trying to not be affected by the information. However, how was she not supposed to be. It felt like her heart shattered into uncountable pieces.
Is this how Jeno felt when I rejected him?
With everything going on she forgot about Yebin. She forgot about how that girl was close to Jeno. Sighing she felt like she should just accept it but her heart said another. Jisung immediately caught onto his older sister's dejected expression.
Adjusting the little girl in his arms he gently patted her back now and again feeling her head become heavier across his shoulder making him guess that she was falling asleep. "But it's not real is it hyung?" Jisung questioned watching the older boy pick up a cookie and cream ice cream with a wide grin across his lips.
Ga-eun snapped her head over to Jisung with a saddened expression. She didn't want to hear Mark answer that question in fear that it might tear her apart even further. Wanting to get away from the situation she turned on the heel of her foot about to run away.
Sadly, Jisung blocked her path giving enough time for her to hear Mark before she could try and run away again. "Of course it's not true," Mark answered, dropping the ice cream into the trolley. "Yebin has a boyfriend"
A boyfriend?
It was as if her heart skipped a beat. Freezing she furrowed her brows, unable to process his words. "B-but how is that possible? When they were taking those photos they looked like a couple" she couldn't believe it. As much as she did she couldn't.
"That's part of his job Ga-eun. He is a model after all"
A model - she couldn't understand completely what kind of job he does. She never even heard of it before. Glancing up to Mark she examined him carefully to figure out if he was messing around. But to her joy it was clear that he wasn't lying.
