The sun sneakily crawled up the sky pronouncing morning. Blinds still closed, Jeno sat up on his bed. Not by choice but because he was forced to by the ringing of his phone. Escaping the peaceful abyss of his dream, he drew the blinds open to be shot by blinding rays of the sunlight. Visions extremely blurred he fell into deep thoughts of the conversation he had with his manger.

When he picked it up, Winwin informed him how his schedule was cancelled for the day.

When questioned why it was told that Dispatch took a picture of him and Yebin when they were having a meal. Now there's a dating scandal circulating around Korea about him. Groaning out loud, he began to rub his eyes before stretching his limbs.

It would've been nice to just have a day of rest but Jeno was ordered to go and visit the Chairman. He hoped it won't go bad but knowing Mr Yang was the CEO of his entertainment it didn't worry the boy too much.

Silently sat on the comfortable chair. Jeno spun round and round in spirals feeling a sense of dizziness taking over. However, his moment of enjoyment took an abrupt stop when a low chuckle radiated around the four walls. When directing his sight to the culprit he found Mr Yang staring at the boy with amusement.

Letting out a hushed gasp, Jeno stumbled up onto his too feet. Clearing his throat he felt a sheer amount of embarrassment rise up his nerves. "I got distracted while waiting" he scratched the nape of his neck. Shaking his head lightly, the older male indicated that it was fine. Patting Jeno's shoulder he sat down before gesturing the boy to take a seat opposite him. Comfortable moving around on the chair Jeno looked up to find Mr Yang already looking at him with a sharp gaze. 

"I only called to ask if you are alright" he blurted out getting right to business. 

His sudden question took Jeno by surprise. When on his way to the older males office, he presumed him to be upset by the news. Dejected that it may affect his company however he was so calm and caring. Smiling softly, Jeno gave a reassuring nod to which made him notice how Mr Yang's tensed up muscles relaxed. "That's good to hear" he let out a relieved sigh before caring on. "I don't know whether you really are dating Choi Yebin or not, however if you are willing to expose the truth you have to be aware of the consequences with her entertainment company. They have dating restrictions."

Biting his bottom lip Jeno nodded his head. "It shouldn't be an issue because it's not true. We're nothing but friends" immediately Yohan's mood lifted up. Glad to hear that Jeno won't be affected by anything, especially the company that Yebin works at. Exhaling lightly he clasped his hands together, placing them on his desk. "That's literally all I wanted to ask. I'll speak to your manager and tell him to work on rescheduling your shoots."

Giving a small nod Jeno was about to leave however his heart was not willing to. He did not move an inch. Catching onto this, Yohan waited for the boy to speak, realising how he seemed to have something to say. "What is it, Jeno?"

Debating on whether to speak his troubling thoughts, he fell deep into his mind. "Mr Yang, can I ask you something?" Taking in his sudden change and demeanour, Yohan also fell serious putting all his attention onto Jeno's next words. Taking a deep inhale, Jeno calmed down his pounding heart building his courage to speak.

"I know that I am not exactly in a position to speak to you about this topic considering that it has nothing to do with me. But I just wanted to mention how you seemed to never be happy with your wife" he knew what he said was wrong. No matter how close he is to Mr Yang, no matter how long he knows the man he was aware that it is rude to say this to him. Nonetheless, he felt the need to. He wanted to take the risk. 

Yohan's facial features fell into a darker, more stern side which did not surprise Jeno. He anticipated this much from him. But he knew that there is no turning back.

He was waiting for the man so lash out at him or get angry. But then again, Mr Yang never raised his voice at anyone. He was always a calm and serene person. However, this could go either way. For the first time seeing him angry or him being that same as always. 

Deep down, he did not want to experience the new version of Mr Yang. Luckily he didn't. Yohan wasn't mad, he was just astonished that even Jeno was able to notice. "What are you trying to say Jeno?" the boy began to tug at the corner of his thumb ripping the edge of his skin. Heated warmth erupted by the newly formed cut transforming it red and swollen. "Nothing. I'm just saying that you never seemed happy around her" staying silent, Yohan gave a small hum.

Satisfied with his answer, Jeno prepared himself for his next words hoping to not trigger anything too upsetting from the older male. "But you were happy with Im Jia."

Eyes dilating, Yohan snapped his head up towards Jeno, stunned by what he had just heard. Breathing wavering he clenched his jaw remembering of her. "Yeah, you're right," Pressing his lips tightly together he gave a sad smile. "But she's gone" he quietly whispered, however Jeno caught onto it. 

"What if she isn't though?" at Jeno's absurd words, Yohan shook his head in despair. "Jeno that's impossible-"

"How? You always thought that she died but have you ever questioned how she died? Where did she die and when? You never even found her body. So where is the proof?" he blurted out, interjecting dauntingly.  This did take Yohan by surprise. "Eunha told me-"

"And you believed her?" He cut through Yohan's words, evidently disappointed. Clicking his tongue, Jeno pinched the bridge of his nose. Lips parting in shock, Yohan fell into deep thoughts rewinding Jeno's words again and again. The more he thought about it, he realised how the younger boy seemed correct.

And it pained him to know that he was so blind all these years in not realising such a stupid mistake.
