Gripping the fountain pen hard in his large palm, Yohan tapped it again and again against the table surface repetitively matching the tick tocking of the clock on the wall. He was waiting for Eunha to come back home and to his luck he eventually heard a distant tip tapping of her heels. Vibrating against the hard flooring the sharp footsteps told him that she was coming his way.
However, he couldn't ignore the fact that they did not sound rhythmic. It was more uneven and limp. As if she wasn't walking in a straight line taking turns in all directions. It all made sense when she stumbled into his room knocking the glass vase accidentally when attempting to clutch onto the edge of the desk for support.
Like how his heart shattered into millions of pieces earlier in the day by the news that Jeno revealing during their conversation, the small pieces represented his broken feelings. However, the small fragments of danger that spread across the flooring that can cause trickles of blood to be pierced showcased her - his wife.
The devil she is.
A single waft of the air, and he scrunched his nose by the strong aroma she let out. A mixture of her overly drenched perfume along with a swirl of alcohol coming off her. He hated it. Felt disgusted and wanted to throw up. "How much did you drink?" He held his breath as he is not a big fan of alcohol.
"Yohan!! My so-called-perfect husband!" she slurred out the words, giggling to herself before collapsing onto the sofa. Sighing he grabbed her arm in process to help her sit up but she just slapped his hand away pointing a finger sharply at his face while glaring. "Let go! I don't need your help!" she spat out in detest.
"Where were you?" he monotoned. Rolling her eyes she let out a scoff before grumbling out some awful words to him which he carried on ignoring as he is quite used to her constant insults and swear words. "Yoo Deok-hwa," she answered, crossing one leg over the other, smiling widely.
"The third son of the Yoo Financial company?" He questioned just to receive a cocky smirk from her.
Inhaling hard he felt how his heart fell into a pit of despair. "How much longer are you going to keep up with this act? You were with another man 3 months ago"
"I got bored of him" she simply answered, eyeing her newly done nails. He hated it. They never got along well but it was still wrong for her to be with another man when she was married. He was never treated this awfully when he was with her. When he was with Jia.
"Jia" he breathed out silently yet Eunha caught on.
Like a typhoon changing direction, her mood took a turn into a more aggravated one. "What?" she growled out with a spiteful look. Zeroing his sight onto the girl he did not peep a word arising a vexed roar to infiltrate the silent air. "Say it again!" she launched up from her seated position, an animalistic snarl leaving her lips. Narrowing his sight onto her, he cocked a brow. "Jia"
Aggressively pushing him, she watched as Yohan fell back against his desk. The bottom of his spine hitting the wooden edge. Sharply hitting him, he let out a grunt of pain feeling a itching tingle trail up his spine.
Chest raising up and down, Eunha gripped the roots of her dark black strands bawling out a demonic scream like Satan had entered inside of her. Eyes hollow and darkened with rage she seethed out her teeth. "How dare you say her name in front of me?! I'm your wife Yohan!"
Wife?
Letting out a scoff of disbelief he clenched his jaw, frustrated by her behaviour. "You're no wife when you sleep around with other men" seal her lips momentarily she gulped down hard. Yet not wanting to back down she carried on making ignorant excuses. "You're no better than me! You were with her!"
"You're right, I was with Jia but that was before I got married to you. I've been nothing but loyal to you" Eunha bit her bottom lip harshly, slitting a small cut to escape her skin, she let out some blood to mix in with her red lipstick.
"But you hate me! Don't deny it! You never loved me ; it's always been that bitch that's in your heart all these years. 21 years Yohan, we were married yet it's always been her!" yelling out loud her voice cracked out, scratching against her throat. Hoarse and dried up she began to cough aggressively. Yet Yohan did not help and watched as she just choked and drank some water that was placed on his desk.
Falling to the ground on her knees she took deep inhales. There was an eerie silence that lapsed around the air until it got broken by a maniac laugh she cackled out. At her psychotic behaviour, Yohan furrowed his brow taking steps away in fear. Clutching her stomach, she let out hysterical laughs to the extent that it broke tears in her eyes.
Brushing her hair back she rested against the desk looking up to the photo of her and Yohan with fake smiles plastered on their faces. She was a mess. Mentally and physically. Hair all disheveled, mascara dripping down her cheeks. "I even got rid of her yet she still lives in your heart no matter how hard I try" she mumbled out quietly.
Got rid of her?
Hearing her absurd words, Yohan's eyes shot open like saucers. Bending down to kneel closer to her, he held onto her shoulders pinned her harshly against the desk glaring right into her drunken state. "You what?!" he growled out. He never raised his voice at Eunha so it bewildered her to see him do so.
He wasn't sure if she was blabbering nonsense because she was drunk, however he needed to hear it properly with the exact words to know if whatever she had done was what he thought. Her sentence was unclear and he did not want to come to drastic conclusions.
"What did you do, Eunha!" Turned to face him properly, she stared right into his agitating orbs. She was unable to hide the truth due to the overpowering strength of the alcohol in her system.
"You think she died?" she tilted her head to the side letting out a sadistic smile. Leaning closer she whispered into his ear letting out an airy breath to hit him as she spoke the next unlawful words.
"I killed her"
I know it's taking forever but just wait a little longer and Ga-eun will enter in
I promise
