I try not to miss you

I try to let you go

But in the end, you're always on my mind

But in the end, you're always on my mind

A small flash was let out by the car's front lights when Jeno pressed the lock button. Twisting on the heel of his shoe he strolled across the car park. Tucking the keys into his pocket, he used his left arm to push the glass doors open before stepping into the dessert cafe.

His favourite dessert cafe. Not only his, but also his mothers. Since a young age it became a habit of his to drop by whenever something pleasant happens like getting good grades. Hei-ran always brought Jeno to this very cafe as a treat knowing that her second son inherited the liking to desserts just like her. Minji and Mark were not that addicted compared to these two. However, she always bought them cookies, making sure to not leave the two out.

As soon as he stepped inside he began scanning the area to spot the person who he was meant to meet.

Squinting his pupils he observed around but it was slightly difficult with the many squeals that screamed around him. Proceeding to ignore he turned his head over to the other side to find him. Instantly Jeno's eyes curved up into small crescent moons. Twisting on his heel, he took a single step to make way over but was forcefully stopped by a girl blocking his path.

Glancing down at her shorter height he backed away. The proximity is a little too close for his liking or comfort. "Can I take a photo with you?" she smiled up at him with a hopeful look. Briefly peeking over towards Renjun who was sitting in the corner table, patiently waiting for him, he flickered back to her giving a small nod after receiving a reassuring smile from the Chinese boy.

Bending slightly down to her level he smiled at the camera. As soon as a click sound of the photo being taken was let out he immediately stood up straight to his normal height. Staring at the photo the girl sent a wide grin. "Thank you" she bowing politely to Jeno who did the same before scurrying off to Renjun.

Dropping down to his seat he let out a gust of air making Renjun snicker. "Your popularity rose so much after that Fall/Winter Runway Show." smirking lightly Jeno nodding his head in approval. Smug written all over his face. "Anyway" Renjun began before pushing the menu over to Jeno. "I've chosen mine so you choose" he pointed at the laminated sheet in front before scrolling through his phone.

Reading through the list he trailed his finger down it slowly until one dessert caught his eyes. "Chocolate-raspberry cake" he dragged each word out, quietly mumbling out under his breath. Blanking out he froze in spot remembering his time in Narva. The time when he tried Jia's cake.

It's been a year or so since he left that world but a part of him still feels like he was there. Though he was physically in Korea, he felt like his soul was trapped there screaming to be let out. There hasn't been a single day he had not thought about Ga-eun.
