No one notices your sadness, until it turns into anger and then you become the bad person
"J-jisung" she scrambled up off her two feet fixating on the traumatised younger boy. Leaning against the wall beside the staircase he furiously glared at the two with one hand gripping his sword that was attached to his waist tightly. "Jisung-"
Holding his hand up in the air, he indicated Jeno to shut up to which the boy did knowing that it wasn't his place to intervene between the mother and son. "I came home from training to hear you both speaking some derisory words about different universes and shit! I thought you were joking around but I stayed here and listened to everything. As much as I don't want to believe it, it's hard not to when you spoke of it so seriously. You never -" halting his words he clenched his jaw banging his fist on the table beside him before glaring at his mother with pure resentment. "You never told us about this before, yet you told him! And you now are saying that you were going to hide it forever! How could you?!"
Storming over he stood in front of his mother who began to tear up. For the first time she saw her son so overwhelmingly angry. He had never raised his voice nor lashed out at her ever making it extremely difficult for her digest the new unforeseen behaviour her was presenting. However, she didn't blame him at all.
"We have the right to know! Even if you don't want to tell me it's fine because I'm not from that world. But-but noona is!" he cried out in a delirious tone.
"Jisung I'm sorry I-I just thought it would be too h-hard on you bo-"
"Mum, we aren't kids anymore!" he screamed out so loud that his voice fell rough and hard. Trapping his bottom lip between his teeth he exerted immense amount of pressure constraining a small cut to form across his pink plump lips.
Facing the ground trying to refrain from shouting at his mother any further he took a deep breath in process to calm down his frustrated heart. "Tell her . . . please," he pleaded. Looking between his mothers eyes back and forth he noticed her shaking figure. Grabbing her hand he held it tight. "Mum -"
"I can't!" she choked out. Jeno stood there awkwardly unsure what to do. It wasn't him place to intervene or even be there watching them. Gulping hard he slowly turned away leaving the two to carry on. Running up the stairs he reached the top to find Ga-eun walking towards his direction. "Where are you going?" he hurriedly grabbed her shoulders panicking. "I heard Jisung shouting. What's going on?"
"Ummm he uh- he is umm . ." raising a brow Ga-eun gave a suspicious look at Jeno's stressed out stance. Sweat trickling down his forehead, unable to look her in the eye. He gazed everywhere else but her face.
"Jeno what's going on?" hearing her serious tone he let out a heavy sigh looking down on the floor. "He's with your mother. He's just not having a good day" he breathed out. He was expecting her to understand and want to give Jisung some space but it was totally the opposite of what he initially thought. "Shouldn't I be comforting him then-" she nudged past his shoulder trying to run down the stairs but the boy was quick to react.
