🝔 1.36

Jia stood at the door frame that was separating the kitchen and the shop floor. Eyeing her customers and workers she was monitoring the area until she noticed Jeno blanking out. 

 Of course she didn't want to go hard on the boy as it's his first day helping her out. But she couldn't ignore him. Studying him intensely she had realised how he just hasn't been himself the whole day. At first she brushed it off thinking he has to get used to the work habit in her shop but now she was just worried. Slowly walking over to one of her employee's she dragged them to the corner gently before. "Could you take over at the till" 

 As soon as they nodded to their Boss, Jia sent a sweet smile before placing all her attention over to Jeno. He was so out of it, in his own world that he was not aware of Jia standing right behind him. 

Sighing she tapped on Jeno's shoulder making him flinch slightly. Widened eyes he backed a little. "Sorry did I scare you?" she questioned afraid that she may have frightened the boy. "Oh no not at all" nodding lightly Jia grabbed his wrist wordlessly taking him elsewhere.

Jeno couldn't do much but follow her lead.  As soon as they reached a quieter area that was located behind the shop floor she sat the boy down before seating opposite him. Cluelessly, wandering his sight around he noticed it was the break room where her employee take stops between their work. Glancing back over to the older lady he waiting for her to speak. "Did something happen between you and my daughter?"

Chocking lightly at the unexpected question he sealed his lips not speaking a word. However, Jia propped her elbows onto the desk understanding that it must be something he did not want to speak about. 

"Ga-eun has always had a buoyant personality, lifting every ones spirits up around her. But she does have those specific days where she may not be in a good mood. I don't know what happened between you two but she hasn't ever stayed upset more than a day. So don't dwell on it to much ok"

Though her words comforted him it couldn't bring all his mood up. He still felt agonised inside just the thought of her ignoring him. He hoped that what she said was true. Wishing that Ga-eun will be back to her old self by tomorrow.

Wish . . .  he wished that it will all back to normal. But of course not all wishes can be granted which infuriated him. 

It's been three days and Ga-eun had made it vividly clear that she was avoiding him. Now she wasn't even trying to hide it knowing that Jeno was well aware of it himself. Having enough he attempted to speak to her and try figure things out but the girl was reluctant to do so. Whenever Jeno even tried approaching her, she would run away in the other direction or speak to someones else. If he did get the chance to talk she would either say that she's busy or tired. 

Eventually he concluded that he must've done something. But no matter how many times he thinks he wasn't sure what it was. 

Was it the kiss? - he rubbed his growing stubble in deep thought. But they never did kiss. They were about to but they never did. On top of that Ga-eun never pushed him away and she even stepped closer. It's couldn't have been that. Unless she is just awkward and shy about it. But that just doesn't explain why she would be rude and ignore him.
