"What did that man say to you?" as soon as they left his house, Ga-eun wouldn't stop pestering him. Eventually having enough he turned around as soon as they reached Fena. "He's from where I am from" he simply answered untying the horse. "Seoul?"
"Yes"
"And?" she stepped closer wanting to hear more. "I can go home now" he said under his breath, relieved that he at last knows that there is a way out. It was like her heart dropped and shattered into a million pieces hearing him say those words. Just a few seconds ago she was ecstatic but now really taking it in she figures out what this means.
He can go home
"I-is Seoul really . . . really far Jeno?" her voice wavered slightly out of nervousness. She remembers their conversation about how Seoul may not even be in Narva however a part of her wished that it is be a lie. Looking down towards the girl he bit his inner cheek slowly nodding. "It is"
Immediately Ga-eun faced down to the floor. "Would I be able to meet you after you leave?" her voice fell quite and weak, barely over a whisper. Dejection and sorrow laced around in each word as she felt a large lump filling up her throat as her eyes began to slowly tear up.
"What was that?" Jeno tilted his head to get a look at her. She knew that he was in a good mood. Since the day they met he had been praying to find a way or some sort of lead to return to where he is from. Though he did not show it in his expression that much it was undeniably obvious what he was actually feeling.
Not wanting to create a scene and bring down his mood she spilled out a lie for his sake. "Nothing . . I said nothing" she meekly spoke out holding back her true emotions.
Sniffing lightly, Ga-eun faced the floor blinking a few times to dry up her eyes so there could be no sign of sadness. "Are you leaving right away?" she spoke hesitantly but a smile lifted off her lips hearing his next words.
"He didn't actually tell me how to get back exactly" turning away Ga-eun latched onto Fena's reins adjusting her so that they both could hop on. "Merida?" she heard Jeno softly call out her name as she sat on the horse's back. Tilting her head down she found a concerned look on his face. "Are you ok?"
Clenching her jaw tight she swallowed back all her building up despair. Taking a deep breath she let out a cheerful grin before pouting lightly. "I'm hungry," she excused.
Lucky for her . . he fell for it

Fuzzy and jumbled up
Her mind wouldn't come of the thoughts about him leaving. She spent so much time with him, built so many memories, became such good friends and just thinking about Jeno not being with her anymore hurt her.
But Ga-eun felt even more heartache because she knows that what she feels for him isn't actually just friendship. She knew that it was more. Maybe it was his cute eye smile, maybe it was his constant complaints about how everything looked strange. Or maybe because he was unordinary and different from the rest which made her fall for him. To her he was unique and special. At first she only wanted to help purely due to curiosity but now she thinks otherwise. His smile, his laugh. Feeling nothing but joy since the day she met him.
There was something about him that made her feel content.
Spending each minute, each second felt meaningful to her. Ga-eun never noticed as time just flew by until now - until she found out that the immense amount of joy is going to disappear along with him when he steps out of her life.
Letting out a sad whimper, she sat up straight from her bed throwing her pillow to the corner of the room out of frustration. "Umm Noona - are you ok?" Jisung questioned while standing in front of her bedroom door. A bit traumatised by her outrage.
Sighing she nodded which immediately made Jisung relax and step into her room to place down a tray of snacks. "I have to go out, I'm meeting Haechan hyung and Chenle"
"Isn't Haechan my friend?" she raised a brow confused as to why he would meet him. Shrugging his shoulders he smiled softly. "He's been bothering me and Chenle because he wants to see our Phoenix'. I'm taking him on a ride" scoffing the girl leaned on her palms.
"He's been pestering you for the past 6 months and now you agree" chuckling the boy nodded, sorting out his gear. "Anyway take these to Jeno hyung so you both can share"
"Why can't you!" she sulked immediately making him roll his eyes. "Because I'm leaving" But before he could step out of her room she forcefully stopped him by asked a question which made him look at her in utter confusion.
"What's a model?" she tilted her head to the side in utter confusion. Jisung had the same expression as her unable to understand what the girl was on about. Pursing his lips he tapped his chin.
"For guns and gears?" he shrugged

So Jeno is a fighter? That can't be true! He looked like he was about to wet his pants every time a dagger is at his throat
The door was open but of course she had the decency to knock on it. However, Ga-eun noticed how the room was empty.
Furrowing her brows she entered in placing the tray on the desk beside the bed. Brushing her hands on her clothes she took a few steps back before bouncing onto the mattress. She expected a comfortable softness but instead she felt something poking her behind.
Grimacing at the pain, Ga-eun shot right up and spun on her heels to find a familiar looking object. Scrunching up her features she squinted her eyes to find a jewel shimmering against the natural daylight. A jade ring to be specific.
Gasping , the girl launched forward examining the handmade jewellery in her palm. Why is my ring here?
"What are you doing?" a deep voice spoke, making her finch in surprise. Jeno didn't let her answer when he yanked the ring out her palm. "Jeno give it back" unfortunate to her, the boy was reluctant to do so.
He found it.
"Jeno please" yet the girl got nothing but a shaking head which indicated a no.
"Jeno! Give. My. Ring. Back" this time she spoke in a stern and serious tone. "No-wait what!"
Her ring?
"Your ring? This is your ring?" he pointed towards it while looking back and forth between her eyes in bewilderment to see if she was lying. "Yes, I lost it that day we went out to buy you clothes"
She wasn't lying. He could tell by the look in her eyes and the tone of her voice but something confused him. The sheer layer of tears lining up. "It means a lot to me Jeno" it was obvious that she was trying her best to hide her emotions but the way her voice slightly cracked as she spoke told him everything.
A pang of pain creeped up into his heart seeing the normally cheerful girl like this. Swallowing the lump in his throat, he was about to raise his hand up to give it back but halted by her next words. Deep down an uncomfortable clench of his stomach twisted around making him feel awfully sick.
Overwhelmed with the amount of unbelievable thought rushing through his head.
"It's my dads"
