After I met with Roy Grant, I walked up the stairs to my third guest of the day.

"...Disappointed? I am not dead yet," I said to Her Majesty Queen Gaelle.

Queen Gaelle simply smiled.

"...You survived. I am quite impressed. You are even more persistent than that woman," Queen Gaelle said.

"...I am quite resistant to death," I said with a smile. "I wonder how you will fare, Your Majesty?"

"You have become quite arrogant ever since you began attending to the King's bed," Queen Gaelle said.

"I do not need to be conniving like you were to get His Majesty to be on my side. Honestly, anyone would have been enough. His Majesty hated Your Majesty so much that he brought me into your territory to wreak havoc and make you suffer for having taken the person he loved away from him. Just look at where you are now," I said with a chuckle.

"You will end up here just like me one day because you are with that man," Queen Gaelle said snidely.

"I will not end up like you. I do not expect His Majesty's love, nor do I have an obsessive compulsion towards being better than the late Duchess," I said.

"I am better than her! I was the one who married His Majesty and became his Queen! I gave birth to a Prince!" Queen Gaelle said.

"The bride he chose for your son was the daughter of his former lover...You can surely tell how much he still values her even after death. As far as I am concerned, he simply married Your Majesty for political reasons and gave up on Your Majesty after giving birth to his heir. Now that His Highness is an adult, I wonder if there is anything stopping him from killing you anymore," I said.

"I supported you. You could have married my son and have been Queen not too far into the future. The least you can do is save me from dying," Queen Gaelle said.

"Do you know why you are in this prison, Your Majesty?" I asked.

"I was framed for poisoning the Baron's daughter," Queen Gaelle said.

"You cannot be framed for something you really did, Your Majesty. You poisoned the Baron's daughter and tried to frame Arielle for it...I really wanted to talk about why you are still here...at this place. His Majesty wanted to send you far away from the capital, but I suggested that you stay here while we search through your co-conspirers. Of course, that could have all been done after your eviction, but I wanted you to stay here and watch firsthand how everything you had built for yourself would be torn down through your very eyes. You made Arielle suffer for so long, so why not taste a bit of your own medicine?" I asked with a bright smile on my face.

"Amalie...and that woman's daughter...just why does everyone side with that family?" Queen Gaelle asked.

"...Unlike Your Majesty, they are special and deserve to be loved. To me...Arielle is the sun. For her, I would not mind suffering a hundred painful deaths for her smile. However, even I get tired after suffering so much. That is why I have made Your Majesty into my toy for relieving stress. I will torture you until the day you die just like how the Duchess suffered in her last days...However, it seems that confining Your Majesty to a small room and having you witness your own husband marry your tormentor is not enough," I said as I cracked my neck.

"...What else do want from me?" Queen Gaelle asked with a strained expression.

"A contingency plan...I have set it up in the case where either I die or some kind of harm happens to Arielle in the event of my absence," I said.

"...What kind of plan is it?" Queen Gaelle asked curiously.

I leaned in closer to her.
