I headed out to a popular local dessert shop with Kyros. Even though our engagement had fallen through because of me, Kyros had still become an important support for me. He is smart, handsome, and very knowledgeable about his trade and good at predicting trends in the market. He is a great business partner and a good friend.

They say that the perfect man does not exist and he doesn't...

I saw that Kyros had some dirt on his cheek and proceeded to wipe his face with my handkerchief.

"...Lady Charlotte," he said with an embarrassed face.

"My handkerchief is now dirty. Please burn it for me," I said with a bright smile.

"Please don't treat me like burnable trash," he said with tears in his eyes.

Despite his words and the tears in his puppy like droopy eyes, he smiled excitedly like a child.

The beautiful man with unfashionable glasses in front of me is unfortunately a masochist. He likes taking abusive words and actions from beautiful women and is fine with being handed hard work as long as it is given to him from a beautiful woman.

I thought marrying him would be fine since I could get my own personal slave but released him because I could not take care of him anymore.

Despite our odd history, we still have an amicable relationship that I am so ever thankful for.

"I would like to give you a present," Kyros said as he handed me a beautiful pink paper bag with red ribbons on the handles.

"You really...shouldn't have," I said.

"I wanted to, my dear Lady," Kyros said.

I opened the present and found rare jasmine tea found on the outskirts of the capital.

"This is really rare stuff...Thank you so much," I said.

"...I am actually moving away from the capital for a bit," Kyros said.

"You are leaving?" I asked.

"Yes, I am thinking of expanding tea trade with other countries one day as well...Would you like to come with me?" Kyros asked.

"Come with you?" I asked.

"Yes, I would like you to come with me," Kyros suggested with a smile.

Kyros escorted me home home not long after that. He left me with a lot to think about the future. It was one of my dreams to travel outside of my homeland, but there had been many setbacks that I had to halt all of my plans. Now that Eli has grown up and taken the throne himself, is it not time to let him live his own life yet?

I am not even his real mother or half the person Arielle was...

I soon noticed the sound of someone's furious tapping of their foot on the pavement.

"...You finally came home," Eli said with his arms crossed and a serious expression on his face.

"Did you come out here to welcome me home?" I asked excitedly as I ran to him.

"I will hope to see again soon," Kyros said as he lowered his head towards me before leaving.

Eli soon grabbed my hand.

"Dinner is being prepared. We should get ready," Eli said as he led me into my home.

For whatever reason, the servants put me into a new lavender dress with an open neckline and delicate white chiffon ruffles and a large ribbon center. With a large purple diamond broach in the center. My hair was styled into a delicate braid with string pearls and tied with a white ribbon. I appeared as if I was going to a ball instead of going to dinner. I decided not to question anything and simply let everyone do as they were ordered.
