Following the Prince's tantrum, I had ordered the Guards to move the Prince beneath the Chapel of the Castle Grounds.
This land used to belong to Fairies. Fairies were once small magical beings in human forms that could perform miracles. They once roamed the land and blessed the land with bountiful fruits and vegetables. For whatever reason, the Fairies decided to abandon their immortal bodies and exchanged them with human bodies to live with other humans. Eventually, there were no longer any Fairies residing in their land. However, there are still remnants of their homeland underground with one of them being a natural spring underneath the Castle Chapel.
Coming with the Prince and I were two Royal Guards, the Prince's Tutor Roy Grant, and a representative from the Temple that represented the kingdom's largest faith in Arundel. What we were going to do was a very secretive operation that required the presence of only those with tight lips. Of course, dead men cannot release
"Should we release the restraints on the Prince?" one of the Royal Guards accompanying me asked.
The Prince currently had his wrists and ankles chained up. He was brought while still under the effects of the sedation medicine we gave him earlier and was currently being held up by two other Royal Guards. I could care less about his safety. However, it would not look good if I look like I am purposefully trying to kill him.
"...Release the shackles on his ankles and toss him in the spring," I ordered.
I had already tested the effects of the spring with Lady Kaya's cursed locket. It can definitely cleanse cursed objects and revert them back to their true nature. If that is true, this method will also be the most effective in curing His Highness.
"Won't the Prince drown?" one of the other Royal Guards asked with a worried look on his face.
"Is that my problem?" I asked with a cold tone.
"...Princess Charlotte, maybe we should wait until the Prince regains consciousness?" Knight Evan asked.
"...There is perfectly cold water here that can help sober him up," I said with a smile. "If it looks like he is going to drown, fish him and wring him out to dry, but after that, we still need to toss him back in the spring."
The Guards still seemed hesitant about throwing the Prince in the water while he was still unconscious, so I walked over to the Prince and removed one of my black gloves and gave the Prince a wide slap across his face. I slapped him hard enough that it left an imprint on his face while still waking him up half subconsciously. Incidentally, I also bruised my hand quite terribly, so I quickly put my glove back on.
"It is great news that the Prince is finally back with us," I said joyfully.
"...Be careful when putting the Prince in the water!" Knight Evan ordered.
Two of the Royal Guards holding up the Prince went into the spring with him and held the Prince's head above water. The Guards then took a step away from the Prince. The Prince sobered up almost immediately and began coughing up black sputum. Worried, the Guards reproached the Prince in order to help him.
"Stop...The Prince can cleanse himself on his own," I said as I crossed my arms.
"Princess Charlotte, I think that we should stop here. The Prince will choke on his own fluids if we continue at this rate," Knight Evan said.
I looked to the witness from the Temple. The Prince throwing up black sputum right after being thrown into the blessed spring was enough proof that the Prince had been under the influence of a curse.
"Is this enough proof?" I asked the witness. "If you need more proof, the Prince will end up choking on his own fluids, and it will look like it was your fault for not stopping the cleansing."
