I am fortunate to have three loving parents. My father passed away before I could ever see him. My mother and Queen of Arundel is the most beautiful and wisest ruler that our kingdom has ever seen in history, and my last and most treasured guardian is someone with no blood ties but continues to love me with all of her heart...
"Eli, I love you," Charlotte said.
Her words are far from a confession of romantic love. They are more like the words of love to a pet or small child like myself. When I was still young and naive, I believed that our feelings were mutually reciprocated. Those words, of course, were misunderstood.
"Charlotte, marry me," I often said.
I said those words nearly every day almost as if it was a ritual. Charlotte would always brush them off with a lighthearted response saying that she would think about it when I got older. I wondered how old I would have to be to get married, so I researched at what age was acceptable to get married in the kingdom. The legal age for a man to get married was around 16, while women could get married at around 14 in the kingdom. Charlotte is around the same age as my mother, so all I had to do was catch up to her with my age. However, this wait was not without tribulations.
Charlotte is known as the second most beautiful woman in the kingdom. She has long lavender-colored wavy hair doll-like violet eyes, and a curvy figure with a bountiful chest and tight waist. There is not one person who does not know of her siren-like beauty. She turns the heads of both men and women. She is so beautiful that suitors from other countries have also tried asking for her hand in marriage. Ever since I heard of her getting marriage proposals from other men, I would do my best to intercept all of her mail, destroy the paintings of suitors, and remove cards from presents nearly every day.
Once in a while, I would miss a letter or painting and Charlotte would be pressured to meet with the possible suitor. However, every time she would, I would be standing next to her and clinging to her skirt and hogging her attention. Charlotte did not mind spoiling me as well. Rather, it seemed like she liked my childish tactics and would give me more hugs than normal. Eventually, the height of proposals died down, and I was able to garner all of Charlotte's attention.
As I grew older, I noticed that my body was going through changes. I started to feel uncomfortable taking baths with Charlotte and began kicking her out during my bath times. Even sleeping in the same bed made me too nervous to sleep beside Charlotte. I would be too restless to sleep and end up not sleeping at all.
It is all because of Charlotte...She is too deaf to her beauty.
She sees me like a child, so she dresses defenselessly, or maybe a little too tantalizing...Her negligee is thin and shows off her thighs, arms, and nearly everything else. There have been times when I could practically see through the fabric.
When someone that beautiful wears clothing like that, can any sane man sleep?
Even though I am aware of it, I try to avoid her during the night. Even so, she comes begging me at least every three weeks for me to sleep with her. When she begs me, no one is safe from her face or words that can bring down an army. I do my best to appease her by agreeing. I try to sneak out during the night, but she always grabs me and shoves me into her breasts with her slovenly posture. What protects me from falling into her tricks is my abundant and pure love for her.
"M-Mother, I would like to marry Charlotte," I said when I was young.
My mother was a gentle and fair person. She spent nearly my entire youth on guarding my father's country and left me to her best friend Charlotte to raise. Rather than hate her, I thanked her for giving me the best environment possible and letting me meet Charlotte.
