Lessons and clothing

I walked up to Edward and Alice. Edward had just finished playing the song, and Alice had finished singing and moved on to something else upstairs, so I took her place beside him.

He had started to play a slow, smooth song, almost like a waltz. He didn't even look like he was trying, his fingers gliding across he keys smoothly. It was mesmerizing, and I had to shake my head to get out of the trance. I wanted to be able to play like that, especially considering I had lied to Emmett about being able to play.

"Will you teach me?" I asked, although I didn't need to. He could hear my thoughts.

"What's in it for me?" he half smiled, not pausing the notes.

I thought about it for a second. "Nothing, really. But it would save me the effort and exhaustion of hypnotizing you to do it."

I know it wasn't very cool to say that, but I wasn't really going to mind control him. It would take too much effort, and I'm not sure I would even manage to do it.

"Alright," he conceded, "This is middle C," he showed me the key with his index.

"I know the notes already," I said, "I used to take lessons as a kid, but I don't remember how to play anything."

"Well, then we know where to start. I have a few books, but they're too advanced for you. We'll get you some basic ones, and I'll teach you some scales in the meantime.

All in all, I learnt more than I ever remember learning in my piano lessons as a kid. He showed me the C scale, along with F and G. Basically the easiest ones. He also showed me how to play twinkle twinkle little star, and laughed whenever I messed up. We really bonded, and I found him less annoying. Kind of. I did appreciate the fact that he seemed to genuinely want me to succeed.

He taught me until about midnight, when Rosalie came yelling down the stairs that if I didn't stop playing that horrible music, the piano wouldn't live the night. Edward and I chuckled together, and I went to talk to Alice.

I had heard that she was the one to go to for all of the clothing, and I needed new clothes, because I hadn't changed since I woke up like this, two days ago.

I came into her room to see the bed covered in shirts, jeans, sweaters, anything you could think of, it was on the bed. I looked over to the closet, where the jet of clothes were coming from, and could see Alice manically throwing some dresses/suits (A/N: you imagine which ones based off of you gender) out on to the floor, still perfectly folded. She stopped in her tracks, and came over and hugged me.

"Y/N, you're here," she said. "I picked out a couple items to start with. I hope that's enough."

There was clothing on the bed than I had ever owned. "I think that'll be enough clothes Alice, thank you."

She looked hurt. "But- But you didn't even try anything on!"

Jasper looked at me and mouthed the words just try them on! You do not want her mad! from behind her. I sighed, picked up the first things I could find, a plain tank top, some black jeans and a beige turtleneck.

"Good choice!" Alice exclaimed

We spent hours trying every single bit of clothing she could find that was "My style", and by the time we were done, the sun had gone up, and the clock said 7:00 am.

"Thank you Alice," I said. "Now I have everything I need to start my new life."

"No problem," she replied, "I can't wait to do this next year."

My face had betrayed me by looking shocked, and Jasper let out a laugh.

"For once," he managed to say through fits of laughter, "For once someones emotions correspond exactly to their outwards appearance. Everyone hear is a master at trying to hide their feelings."

A/N)      Thank you all for 100 reads! I literally didn't think anyone would see this, and thanks to my friend M***l (I didn't know if you wanted me to say your name) for reading every single chapter, and saying they were good.

Love you,

<3
