Parents

They were sitting on the couch, huddled up together, looking at their laps. They were laughing and smiling. They were... happy. I've never seen them this happy. I almost felt glad, until I heard the cry of a baby. Not knowing where it came from, I stepped a little closer to my parents, and saw a piece of blanket moving.

Then a face appeared, sobbing into the silent air. I looked back up at my parents, waiting for them to help the child, but the just sat smiling and grinning. When I went to pick up the baby to save it, I couldn't grab it. It was like I was a ghost, not being able to interact with anything.

The baby was dying. It was dying, and my parents weren't doing anything about it.

"Are you alright?" Carlisles voice brought me back.

If that was what was waiting for the baby, I had to stop it. No one should have to deal with my parents. I had to go now. I had to kill them.

Jasper and Emmett had to restrain me from running away. Rosalie looked as if it was pretty much exactly what she expected, and didn't care whether or not I acted on my impulses.

"You don't understand," I pleaded, "It's torture for the kid. They can't."

Jas touched my neck and I suddenly felt a wave of calm. "Jasper get your hand of my neck," I growled, trying to keep my strength, but he wouldn't let go.

I felt pathetic, trying to kill a couple who wanted to bring life into this world. If it was anyone else, the situation would be different, but it wasn't anyone else. It was my parents.

"Would you boys mind letting me go please?" I batted my eyelashes.

Their face went blank and they let go of me. I took the opportunity to run, going to the Cullen house so I could retrace my steps to my parents. I was mentally tired, but it didn't stop me from being able to outrun everyone. I couldn't hear Rosalie, so I assumed she just didn't care about the problem. It was better than having to fight her anyways.

By the time I was in my old state, I couldn't see Edward anymore. He was in the lead, being the fastest Cullen, but I was able to use my strength to go faster.

That's when I saw my old neighbourhood, and my old house. A wave of emotions flew over me, and for a second I wished that Jasper was here.

Just for fun, I knocked on the door. I wanted to see the look on their face when they saw me before I killed them. I wanted to let it sink in that it was their old daughter that was killing them.

I heard my parents fighting over who was going to open the door, and my mom eventually lost when my dad slammed the table with his fist and he insisted that he wasn't in the mood. My mom got off of what I assumed was the couch and opened the door. She gasped.

"We saw your funeral," she breathed.

I put on my sweetest face I could. "Get dad and bring him over here with you." I managed to say without killing them. It was my first time this close to a human and I overestimated my self control. My mom nodded, and left to get him, and I took the opportunity to take a deep breath of fresh air so I didn't need to smell their blood.

It took a couple tries, but my mom finally got my dad to come over and see me. His jaw dropped as he took me in, and I resisted the urge to snap it off of his skull.

I may have forgotten to mention, I have anger issues.

"You aren't welcome in this household," He whispered, scared.

"I am welcome wherever I want." I growled back.

The day was ending, but the sun wasn't down yet and the clouds were disappearing a lot faster than the light. I let myself in, trying not to touch them so I wouldn't immediately kill them.
