I knew I was broken, but to hear Jelequi saying it.
The tears I had just managed to stop came back with a vengeance.
No, resist the tears, I thought. I curled up, trying to block the misery from my mind.
If you're wondering why don't you just go to her? Well, I dare you to have that dream and not be incredibly insecure.
I just went to the library and got out a book.
There was nothing. This was new. I could always find a book.
Then it hit me.
What happened yesterday.
The sky source, everything, so I stumbled back.
Yes, I know, I just realized. But having a dream like mine it's easy to forget pretty much anything.
Fine, now I have an excuse to go. I should probably tell Lyka as well... I went to get coffee.
Priorities, people.
I would tell Lyka after I got back... I got my coffee, chugged it, and with the caffeine rush flew to the familiar elf city with so many memories I never would have thought I would have.
Just a short time ago when I met Jelequi in the woods.
I flew over the city, seeing the shop I had visited lots of times before, but then I somehow noticed Jelequi in a nearby street, bathed in sunlight.
I flew down to her.
Jelequi had her eyes closed, not noticing me. "Hey sleepyhead," I said, smiling at the innocent look of peace on Jelequi's face.
Jelequi's eyes widened, looking over to me.
She quickly got up, running over, giving me a hug that I swiftly returned. "I missed you, Seraphina!" Jelequi said, hugging me tightly. I noticed bandages on Jelequi's hands and legs.
I took Jelequi's hand "what's this?" Jelequi seemed slightly panicked, "It's nothing! I just had a bad fall!"
"We both know that's a lie," I said, running my thumb over the bandage on Jelequi's hand.
Jelequi winched slightly, "It's fine, don't worry about it."
"Jelequi, you should know me well enough by now that I'm not going to settle for an its fine," I said. "Don't worry about me so much... I'm fine, Seraphina."
"Fine, I'll just not worry about the elf that I care about and have saved from several ganges and who always seems to attract bad luck," I said.
Did she not trust me? Maybe she really was with that gang and hated me.
It hurt that she didn't seem to trust me enough.
A lot. Like, really a lot. Its just my mind getting to me. I reminded myself. I just need time.
Maybe it wasn't a good idea to come here.
Jelequi laughed nervously, "We should just head back to my shop." Jelequi was about to walk in a direction, "Oh yeah.. I'm kinda lost... I just wandered down this street, and forgot where I was..."
"who gave you the cuts?" I persisted, leading Jelequi down an ally. "N-nobody!" Jelequi said quickly.
I gently took Jelequi's hand, careful not to hurt her. "Seraphina, I'm fine..." Jelequi mumbled. "You don't look fine, you look upset." I argued, because I thought she would eventually tell me.

Fantasy"So, what's your story?" I asked. "Story? I don't really have a story." Jelequi explained. "Sure, everyone does." I replied. "Tell me your story first. I don't know much about you yet." Jelequi said. "Okay." Seraphina is a young dragon queen. Jelequ...
