Suddenly, a panic attack sprung itsef into my head. If she dies its all your fault. If she's gone its all on you. My breaths started coming in short gasps. What if the girl i loved died because i sent her into some unknown magic? Everything sort of faded to gray i lost track of time, all i knew was my mind slowly drowning me.. Jelequi suddenly popped into existence, getting tackled by yours truely, who immediately said "you're safe. I kept thinking that if you were gone, it was all my fault..." I buried my head in Jelequi's shoulder. "Hey, it's alright. It's not your fault!" Jelequi laughed slightly, "The earth element teleported me away to talk to me.." "I know, the same thing happened to me, but still..." "Oh, I got a piece of paper from the earth element." Jelequi showed the paper to me. my eyes widened "of course! I was so stupid, it all makes sense now!" I said excitedly. "What do you mean..?" These tunnels were familiar! "Thousands of years ago dragons discovered these massive caves under the earth, but no one really came back from the expeditions to explore it so they just forgot about it, but I read about it in my library!" I exclaimed "Interesting... So you think this map is of the caves?" Jelequi asked. "Of course! It makes so much sense!" I said. "Will we need to go under the earth into those caves..?" Jelequi asked. "Oh god, me and my extreme claustrophobia." I shuddered, "but yes." "It'll be alright. I'm here! You helped me with my fear, I can help you!" Jelequi smiled softly. All I responded with was a shaky smile, but honesty meant the world to me. Jelequi held me close, "It's alright... Well, should we head out of this part of the forest?" "probably.." Jelequi took my hand, beginning out of the fog. We walked in silence for a while. We began back through the forest, towards the city. I hummed a song. We walked for a while, before getting to the city edge. We continued to walk until we reached Jelequi's place. we reached there, nobody in the shop. Jelequi unlocked the door, walking in with me, locking it behind her. I said, "Can I have a closer look at the map?" Jelequi handed the paper to me. I studied it, trying to figure out where the door could be.. Jelequi sat down on the counter. I stared at it for some time. Jelequi yawned, smiling at me. I smiled back, though the look of concentration was still there. Jeleqeui laughed, "Your concentration face is cute!" I blushed saying "thanks" and grinning more genuinely. Jelequi laughed, smiling. She looked around at the potions in the shop. I yawned and set down the map. "Would you like to head to my room?" Jelequi asked. "Okay." Jelequi took my hand, us heading to Jelequi's room. we headed in, Jelequi sitting down. I followed. Jelequi smiled, hugging me. I hugged her tightly back. "What do you think we'll find in the caves...?" Jelequi quietly asked. "Something, that's for sure," I said grimly. "I bet there'll be monsters." "Monsters..." Jelequi mumbled. I hugged her close. "I won't let anything happen to you" I mumbled. "I will be fine..." Jelequi sighed. "Because you'll be safe with me." "I want you to be safe too." Jelequi mentioned. "What's your definition of safe, because i'll come out alive" I replied. "I don't want you to get hurt badly!" Jelequi said, holding me closer. I nodded, saying "but sometimes sacrifices have to be made, and I'd rather I get badly hurt and you be fine than the world ending." I said gently. "I guess..." Jelequi mumbled. I sighed, closing my eyes softly and holding Jelequi close. we stood in silence, holding each other close. "I wish it was someone else risking their life for the world instead of you" I finally admitted. "If anything happens to you it'll be my fault..." "If anything happens to me, don't blame yourself. I know what I'm getting into..." Jelequi mumbled. "I just wish you didn't have to." i would blame myself. It would always be my fault. "Don't worry. I can protect myself." Jelequi quietly. I raised my eyebrows slightly. Jelequi rested her head on my shoulder, closing her eyes softly. I rested her head on Jelequi's. Jelequi sighed, holding me close. "You never realize do you?" it just slipped out of me, luckily in only a whisper. "Huh... what was that..?" Jelequi quietly asked. "N-nothing" I said blushing. "Alright." Jelequi said, smiling softly, closing her eyes. I smiled.
