"Maybe, if you decide you're comfortable, I could show you my castle... only if your comfortable, I don't want to pressure you..." I said.

"M-maybe we could just start with flying near the ground..." Jelequi said nervously.

"Of course, that's what I meant." I said.

"Alright. Maybe we should head to the forest, to start, just so others do get scared of you.."

"probably a good idea. And if you don't want to do this that's totally okay..." I said softly, tangling my fingers together with Jelequi's.

"Let's go to the forest." Jelequi began leading us through the streets.

 I followed.

After a little bit of walking, they got to the edge of the city.

We headed into the forest.

"This brings back so many memories." I remarked.

"Yeah.." Jelequi mumbled.

We got to a clearing, that would be good for flying. I turned into my dragon form and said, "so do you just... get on my back?" I asked, laying down to make it easier for Jelequi.

Jelequi nervously got on.

"Astra rides on my back all the time, just hold onto my neck and lock your legs just before where my wing are.."

"Oki..." Jelequi did that, trying her best to hold on.

"My wings will steady you as well." I said. "I'm going to lift off. Are you ready?" I asked.

 "I think so..." Jelequi mumbled.

"Okay.." I lifted into the air smoothly, my wings beating in a careful rhythm.

Jelequi tightened her grip, closing her eyes.

"Is it okay if I go higher?" I said.

I was just a little off the ground.

"I guess..." Jelequi mumbled, clearly already scared.

"I'll never let you fall," I promised.

"Do you want to go back down?"

"It's fine..." Jelequi said, holding on tightly.

I went a little higher, just above the treetops.

Jelequi's eyes were completely shut, her holding on as tight as she could.

"Can I fly forward a little bit?" I asked gently.

"O-okay..." I flew slowly, gently, a little bit.

"How's that?" I asked. "I-I don't know... I-it's fine..." Jelequi mumbled, clearly scared.

I flew down to another clearing. "Let's take a little break," I said.

Jelequi got off, shaking a little bit.

I hugged her close.

Jelequi hugged back, resting her head on my shoulder.

I closed my eyes, leaning my head on Jelequi's. "I-I'm sorry for being such a scaredy cat.." Jelequi mumbled.

"It's okay. It's not your fault.

I actually read a book once that said that often dragons and elves with elemental abilities will have a fear connected with the opposite element."

"I guess that kind of explains my fear of heights..." Jelequi said.

"Mhm" I said.

Jelequi hugged me close.
