"What should we name them?" I found myself asking.

"This is tornado, because he's feisty" I laughed, saying "I think I'll wait to name mine" I wanted to find the perfect name.

We got back to the castle and I asked Melina "what do we need for them?"

"Well, food, toys and cages," she replied.

"Lets go, I know there's a small sky village nestled into the mountainside that should have a pet store"

"okay" she said.

We flew off again, to the little village, dragons milling around.

We made our way through the streets, looking for a pet shop that we eventually found.

We entered, buying everything we needed, me buying for Melina.

We got back to the castle, and we each went into our separate rooms to set up the pet stuff.

Once I was done l looked at the tiny creature sleeping on my pillow.

I picked it up again and held it, laying on my bed, the ferret sleeping on my stomach.

At one point it woke up, glared at me, and me being me, gave it food.

It worked.

The little ferret went back to sleep.

I realized it was dark and I got a bowl of water and put the creature in its cage.

I realized it was night and the moon poked through my window.

Time for another sleepless night... or Jelequi... I grabbed a book sleepily, before someone knocked on my door. "Yes?" I asked.

"Can I come in?" Melina said.

"Yeah," I replied. She had a book and looked exhausted.

"I keep having nightmares" she looked devastated.

"Come in and join the avoidance of nightmare club" I said, gesturing to the part of the bed beside me.

She came in and sat beside me, starting to read.

I heard my ferret get up and start playing, running crazily around the cage and speeding through the tubes running through its cage.

We read in comfortable silence all night, and I got up for my coffee in the morning.

Melina had fallen asleep, peacefully resting against the pillows.

I got my coffee and slowly sipped it in the kitchen.

I got back and opened the cage, where the ferret immediately scrambled out onto my arm, climbing up to sit on my shoulder.

I laughed, saying "what should i name you?" it stared back at me.

"And i can't just keep calling you and it" i informed it.

"What are your pronouns?" I asked it seriously.

"Tilt your head to the left if your a boy, keep your head in the middle if your nonbinary and tilt your head right if your a girl" i told it.

It tilted its head left. "Aww, you're a boy," I said to him.

"What should I name you?" I asked him again. "I could name you Dawn," I told him.

He made no reaction, probably because he's a ferret not a person.

I laughed softly to myself, causing Melina to stir.

"I should name you bananas," I joked to him. He seemed to smile.
