I flew to the glow of the elf city. As on most days, Jelequi's window was open. I could see Jelequi peacefully sitting on her bed. I wriggled in and hugged Jelequi, about to cry, but immediately feeling soothed in her arms. "Hey Seraphina, are you alright?" Jelequi asked. "Now I'm with you" I said, calming down a little. Jelequi smiled slightly, "Did something happen?" oh yeah, did it ever. "Melina said she liked me, and I made it worse by flying away because I like someone else and didn't want to deal with anything. But I hate hurting innocent people." "Oh, it's alright... If you want to fix it, you should go talk with her in the morning... Just tell her that you don't like her in that way, and ask to still be friends." Jelequi suggested. "I just want to stay with you," I said. "Next time you head back to the castle, you can talk to her, but for now you can stay..." Jelequi replied. "I know... sorry i came in like this" I said resting my head on Jelequi's shoulder and closing my eyes. "It's fine... Just relax..." Jelequi mumbled. "You're the best," I informed Jelequi. Jelequi laughed quietly, "You are..." "Let's not start this..." I giggled, in awe of the mysterious power Jelequi held to make me feel better. Jelequi giggled softly, smiling. we sat down. I smiled into Jelequi's shoulder. Jelequi hugged me close. "What did I do to deserve you?" I asked. "You are amazing... Maybe that's why?" Jelequi suggested. I hugged Jelequi close. Jelequi smiled softly, "Should we head to sleep..?" "If you don't mind staying up for half an hour, we could watch the eclipse," I replied. Melina must ave wanted to watch the eclipse with me. Another wave of guilt cascaded over me."Oh, yeah. It's the solar eclipse tonight. Should we read till then?" Jelequi said. "Okay" I said, smiling. Jelequi picked up a book. I pulled out one. Jelequi opened the book, beginning to read. we read in silence until I exclaimed "it's happening!" Jelequi smiled, placing down her book. We watched the moon slowly turn blood red. Jelequi smiled, hugging me close, looking out at the moon. We watched in silence until it was over. "Beautiful, isn't it?" I said. "I see this every year, yet it never gets less amazing." Jelequi nodded, "I've only seen it once before, last year with Amharic and Xentri..." "glad i could be the second" I said. Jelequi smiled, "I'm glad you visited tonight..." "Me too," I said softly. Jelequi leaned her head on my shoulder and I wrapped my arms around Jelequi. Jelequi mumbled something quietly, me not hearing it. I went with the elegant form of speech known as "huh?" Jelequi's cheeks went pink, "It was nothing..." "Okay" I said, leaning my head on Jelequi's, and feeling okay. Melina didn't matter, it was just jelequi and i. Jelequi smiled softly, closing her eyes. It was my turn to mumble something Jelequi couldn't hear. "I wish you knew what you meant to me" in the softest voice possible. Jelequi decided not to ask about it. "I guess we should go to bed...?" I said reluctantly. "Probably..." Jelequi mumbled. I caught Jelequi's eyes, still holding her tightly. "Good night..." Jelequi mumbled, leaning into my hug, closing her eyes. I giggled softly, smoothing back a strand of hair that had fallen into Jelequi's eyes before closing my eyes. Jelequi was soon asleep, breathing softly. She was beautiful. Then I realized. I don't know if I could ever admit to my feelings for Jelequi because I would be too terrified of what would happen.

I fell asleep soon after.
