One thing Lyon had learnt in these so-called peaceful days was that Celebi, ah no, the sh!tty green onion was one annoying little brat. It didn't do anything to assist him. All its doing was flying around and what it did best was making a mess anytime and anywhere. Just two days ago, when Lyon finally almost finished his experiment on the suitable materials for Beautifly's wings, Celebi again flew around and shoved everything out of its way. At the crucial moment, it passed by his seat and flipped the table. Yes. That happened. The sh!tty green onion f#cking flipped it. And all the things on the table kissed the dust. @3=drc%&7wx0$y7£^*sx$¿
Yesterday, after Lyon painstakingly cleaned the room, Celebi dropped a bag of flour on the wet floor. He then had to clean again. So this was the end of the story? Nope. Right after that, the sh!tty green onion made another mess. He cleaned again. Again. AGAIN. And A.G.A.I.N. $6_□aj5$%◇v8@°3#▪
And today, just before lunch, when he was busy preparing their food, that sh!tty green onion added another bag of salt in his soup. 4¥○}¿&€?6£_☆T72•¿0*₩ An accident? Lyon didn't think so. That was on purpose. It intentionally pulled a prank on him.
He had enough. Well, from the start, he knew that punishing only Minccino wouldn't be fair so he was thinking about Celebi's punishment. The problem was that it's a mythical Pokémon after all, so he didn't think Celebi would even faze. Lyon was then satisfied with figuring out how to keep it in control, at least stopping it from doing sh!t. It needed to be taught a lesson. He had to put all his experiments aside and worked on a new project.
So when it was time for lunch, Lyon put a little something in Celebi's portion. Yeah, you heard that's right. Celebi was not his Pokémon as it didn't listen to him, did nothing to help, and daily messed everything up. Despite that, it still demanded food from him.
Lyon went back to work as he heard Celebi keep laughing. "Well, the effect probably lasts for a couple of hours at most but it's still enough to show that there's a limit to what it should do." So after hours when Celebi stopped laughing, Lyon asked only one thing and it agreed to not disrupt him working again.
The other day he had met some Pokémon that made him think twice about this world. Lyon had assumed that the Pokémon here was the same as in those anime, manga, games, etc. But then he met a strange Pokémon. It looked like a rabbit but could breathe fire. If he wasn't wrong, there was a grass/fire type Pokémon like that in a fan-made game he had played before. So now came the problem, he definitely wouldn't remember all of those fan-made Pokémon because there were a lot. A. Lot.
Not to mention he met another Pokémon that he definitely didn't see anywhere. Maybe it existed somewhere he didn't know because he only remembered those in those official Pokémon series and some fan-made games he played. Before he reincarnated, the new game was being promoted. Lyon hadn't had the chance to play it. So here's another question. What if there were other games released years later? Would those Pokémon exist here too?
His ex-world contained about 8.7 million species of plants and animals while the number of Pokémon officially known didn't even reach a thousand. So it's logical to think that there's a lot he didn't know about Pokémon in this world and what he knew wouldn't really consider as an advantage. Lyon thought of this, he felt like he shouldn't be arrogant and had a lot to study. Though he didn't want to admit it, somewhere deep down he felt like he was a chosen one after being reincarnated. He probably was influenced by those light novels. Still, his attitude needed to change, especially when there's nothing to be arrogant about.
Putting aside these thoughts, Lyon asked Eevee to help him in an experiment. He pulled out a Fire Stone and an Everstone and began to explain what they were going to do. To sum it up, he wanted to know if Eevee could evolve again and what would change if that happened. He also prepared an Everstone just in case as he only wanted to study the possibilities not that he wanted Eevee to evolve into Flareon.
Eevee nodded and took the Fire Stone which Lyon was handing. A white light appeared the same as when Eevee and Ralts evolved into Sylveon and Kirlia. Actually, he didn't think that this would succeed, especially when Eevee had 8 evolution forms. Wasn't that too bugged?
When Lyon was about to give Eevee the Everstone as he didn't want it to evolve into Flareon so early, the light started to die down and he could see the unchanged Eevee. "Oh, did Eevee cancel the evolution? This reminded me that the player also could reject the evolution in the game?"
Lyon asked Eevee about how it was feeling and began to examine its body. With the result of the examination and Eevee's reply, he was able to confirm something.
Firstly, Eevee didn't cancel the evolution. It just couldn't evolve right now. Eevee felt that its body wasn't ready as it didn't have enough energy. He concluded that it was like a second evolution in the game when Pokémon needed to level up enough to meet the right condition before evolving again.
Secondly, as Eevee had evolved into Sylveon, it now had the ability to freely change its forms although it required some time for the change and sufficient stamina. Even after Eevee evolved a second time, this ability wouldn't be lost.
Lastly, as Lyon had briefly thought about, Eevee had 8 evolution forms so there existed a possibility that Eevee could evolve 7 times more. It sounded a bit crazy, he admitted. So he wouldn't carelessly let it evolve. Because aside from Mega Evolution, Pokémon was able to evolve two times at max. The next time Eevee evolved could be the last.
While Lyon reorganized his notes, he heard a commotion outside. He raised his voice to whoever was nearby.
-Hey, what happened?
He didn't hear any of them reply. Just before he turned around, he felt his sleeve was being pulled. He glanced aside and found out it was Deerling and he could also feel the urgency in its eyes. He didn't ask anything else and immediately follow it outside. When he saw what was the commotion about, he was shocked.
-Happiny?
