Lyon took a deep breath to savor the taste of fresh air, felt sunlight overflowing on his skin and harkened to the forest's sound. His body had tensed up all the time he's in Ariados's cave. Only now he was able to relax a bit. Lyon's very grateful to every single one of those Pokémons who had assisted him in defeating Ariados. Though the main reason they had decided to follow his command was to save their own skin, it didn't change the fact that they had been there when he's in dire need of help.

Lyon requested them to bring the carcasses back to his base. And they gladly fulfilled his wish. Hearing those cheerful sounds should have made him a bit happy but he couldn't help being crestfallen when seeing his Pokémons still fainted. Lyon was frustrated at the fact he had been useless. Just strengthening his body was not enough anymore.

When Lyon trained with his Pokémons, he always felt that something's lacking. Eevee, Kirlia, and Zangoose were all growing at an astonishing pace. Even if Lyon tried his best, there's a difference between human and Pokémon. He realized that he now hindered his partners' growth. If he kept training like usual, his body would adjust accordingly but at a much slower pace than his Pokémons. Lyon urgently had to think of another more effective way to train.

Then again, it's unrealistic to compare human with Pokémon. Still, Lyon dared to think so because he remembered there were some supernatural humans in the series that used powers like psychokinesis, Aura... That's what made them human-shaped Pokémon.

Lyon also wanted to become like them. Not to mention most of those people were powerful figures like gym leader, elite four, champion... Being strong by themselves also helped their Pokémons grow faster so they ended up stronger than common people.

Then a big question popped up. How? Lyon didn't know how to train to become like them. Still, he's sure there's a way. If it's psychokinesis or Aura, he could ask Kirlia or Riolu to teach him. Though he didn't know whether it worked on human or not, it's still worth a try.

After living in this world for a while, Lyon discovered normal animals like those in his previous life in the forest. When he watched the series, Lyon also noticed there were a lot of animal-based, thing-based or whatever-based Pokémons. At that time, he only thought they were just inspirations. Now Lyon thought of a case. What if there was something turned those animals or things into Pokémon? Like an evolution? But this was different from instant evolution of Pokémon, it took a very long time to completely make an animal or thing turn into Pokémon.

Lyon kept pondering and came up with a theory. "There's an original kind of energy. This energy can be found everywhere and turns into 18 types. Different animals or things will absorb different types of energy which turn them into different Pokémons. Or sometimes the energy even materializes itself into Pokémon. Different Pokémons require different types of energy to grow and evolve. And psychokinetic power and Aura probably are Psychic-type and Fighting-type energy."

If that was true, it would explain a lot of things. While Lyon was being deep in thought, a groan brought him back to earth. He turned to look at the source. It came from the white with blue markings mongoose-cat-like Pokémon. Realized that Zangoose had wakened up, Lyon immediately rushed to it and asked in concern.

- Are you okay? Don't move now. You need to rest some more.

Hearing his words, Zangoose replied in a weak voice. It pained him to see his Pokémon in such a state. Lyon wanted other Pokémons to use healing moves on his partners but those who were able to move didn't have any strength left to use such a move.

Right now, Zangoose and Honedge were floating in the air. Espurr used Telekinesis to bring them along. Deerling carried Kirlia on its back and Riolu held Eevee in its arms. Lyon had to endure the heaviness from above his head because Minccino was throned there gleefully. But he had enough. Lyon picked Minccino up and yeah, of course, it would protest by flailing its arms continuously. He laid Minccino on his shoulder.

- Right now you have to put up with this. My neck is going to break if you keep sitting on top of my head.

He could see Minccino pouting but immediately, it looked around curiously. He didn't know what to say when seeing Minccino acting like a kid. Those four had asked him to become their trainer and he agreed. It seemed like he got more Pokémons than he had expected.

Finally, they reached his base, just another cave though. Lyon told those Pokémons to leave the carcasses on the ground in front of the entrance and asked them to freeze these carcasses. He definitely didn't want these to rot. Lyon bade farewell to them and headed to the cave with his Pokémons. He now wanted to rest badly.

But Lyon had to stop when he saw Zangoose behave weirdly. It kept growling like it was trying to warn something and its whole body convulsed in fear. He couldn't understand what happened when Zangoose didn't respond to his words. Lyon looked at Riolu, hoped that he would get an answer.

- My Lord, there is someone in the cave.

Lyon surprised when he heard those words. Where did this person come from? Before he could think of what to do, a man slowly walked out of the cave. That man seemed to be also surprised when seeing a child blocking the entrance. He was just a gallant gentleman with a black cloak, stood there smiling but that dude gave Lyon the chills.

The black man glanced at the Pokémons and inspected Lyon for a while. Then he turned his head, gazed at Zangoose and spoke with a twisted smile.

- Have you been doing well, Zangoose?
