It was a bipedal Pokémon with a wide, dull brown body and a large pair of grey, spiky pincers on top of its head. In its mouth were many long, flat teeth arranged horizontally. Its legs were short and thick while its arms were long and thin, and each limb ended with three grey claws. Its limbs and abdomen were divided into segments. Its eyes were simple but usually appeared angry.

- Pinsir!

He really didn't have any bit of desire to meet Pinsir right now. "No way, I couldn't be this unlucky. Right, this should be an illusion. It's not real!" Lyon was too desperate that he hypnotized himself to escape reality. But its next action shattered his illusion. Pinsir roared at him, opened its mouth and showed its hideous teeth. Haha, such a realistic illusion! F#ck!!! Efh@'rYj8&%£7unpZ60€$#

Lyon didn't dare to make any reckless actions. "Yup, now I needed to make a tactical retreat. Stand up slowly, quietly. Don't turn my back on it. If you ignored those dangerous-looking spiky pincers and its hideous teeth, then it would be just another cute docile animal." Lyon was so desperate that he took his hypnosis techniques to a new level. He probably was just a snack in its eyes. Look at this "cute" Pokémon, he was only a bit hungry.

Hungry? Hungry!!! Right, maybe it came for Oran Berries, not for him. "It's not like I'm delicious or something." When this thought popped in his mind, it was like he finally saw the light after walking a long road of darkness. Lyon felt exhilarated and turned his head to look at where he put the berries. And immediately, he was in the depths of despair over the berries he had eaten. It turned out he had unknowingly eaten them all while busy thinking. "Why couldn't you keep your mouth in check, huh?"

But Lyon didn't have time to repent when Pinsir decided not to watch this strange creature any longer. It suddenly sprang forward toward him. He immediately rolled to the side and started to run with all his might. But no matter how fast he was, he could still hear its footsteps right behind him.

Lyon then felt the wind blowing past his neck, immediately he rolled again and was able to dodge its attack in the nick of time. Holy sh!t! FtuWb95#^&_aZ0@=₩03 "Why the hell do I have to go through all this sh!t? If I'm not wrong, in novels and such, other dimension-traveling fellows all have a great time living their luxury lives. Then why do I have to run for my life the first day I come to this world?"

The others were reborn as prince, princess, nobles and such. Or they became love interests of some great protagonists. Or at least they became geniuses by using their granted golden hands. "And here I was dropped in the middle of a forest. Alone! Tattered and so damn hungry without anything to eat. Being chased after by some kind of monster. Great!!!"

"Just where is my golden hand? God? Administrator? If you're joking, then it's time to stop. Give me my golden hand already. I don't need to be a noble, prince, king or whatever. I also don't need to be a love interest of some protagonists. I don't even need a golden hand to become a genius and such. Just send someone to save me is already enough. Or give me a way to get out of this situation. Oh, teleportation skill is fine too."

Lyon had been running for a while now. He had to roll several times to dodge its deadly hugs. But he was already at the limit of his stamina. This body of a 5-year-old child couldn't run for long. And he saw an open space in front of him so he quickened his pace to run towards it. But he immediately regretted when he realized it was a cliff.

He was standing on top of it looking down the river below. "Seriously? A cliff! What to do? Jump? If this was some kind of novel, the protagonist would definitely be alive. Like someone shows up and save him. He will be taught all kinds of martial art. Or he and the pretty girl who rescued him will fall in love and have happy ever after. Or simply he will stay alive and be washed ashore undamaged."

Lyon stood on the edge of the cliff and looked down. It's not very high and there's a big river at the bottom. He calculated the survival probability and got a conclusion. "Nope, I will definitely kick the bucket. Those novels are untrustworthy. No one is going to pop up. And the current is too strong. Not to mention right now I'm a 5-year-old kid."

Lyon looked back and saw Pinsir's figure drawing near. So it's a choice between dying painfully or peacefully, huh. The answer was clear. He would rather drown than be tear apart. So Lyon jumped immediately when he saw Pinsir already opened its spiky pincers and prepared to attack.

"At least I won't get caught by those nasty pincers." He imagined he felt the wind blow and saw scenes of his memories before touching the water like in those novel and such. But, nah, he only felt the cold water right after the jump. "No wind, no memory. Was it because the cliff wasn't high enough? So those novels were really untrustworthy. Glad that I didn't get my hope up."

He heard a horrendously loud sound when crashing into the water. Lyon attempted to regain control of his body but he felt nauseous and his ears kept ringing from the earlier sound. He was not sure how much water he swallowed. Probably a lot. Lyon tried to keep his head above water but that wasn't easy when his swimming skills didn't work against the current.

"So this is where I die, huh. Such an unlucky day! To think there's a day I'm served passionately with a metallic cake, two spiky candy canes, and free icy juice. Well, at least I saw some Pokémons in real life." Lyon saw Magikarps and Goldeens, his affliction fellows, being washed away. "Oh. Nope, they're not. They looked real comfortable. I'm the only one who is going to die here."

That was when Lyon caught a glimpse of something. It was a small, round, blue fish-like Pokémon with a pair of tiny white fins and two small blue feet. Its eyes had unique pupils that were shaped like plus signs. It had two antennae that were positioned on its rear like two tails. There was a yellow teardrop-shaped orb at the end of each antenna.

- Chinchou?

Lyon could clearly see it swim nearer and try to push him. Half of his head was above water and he barely breathed. "This Chinchou want to save me?" He was a bit surprised at the thought that popped in his mind. "I appreciate your good intention but can you stop shocking me. I feel tingling."

Even though Lyon thought so, his heart was so warm to point of crying tears. He clearly knew Chinchou couldn't control those shocks from its two antennae. "I want to repay him somehow if I stay alive." That was his last thought before fainted.
