29. Master Balls

Lyon felt elated when he got a Togepi egg. It's the very first egg he got. There's no reason not to be happy, was it? He now looked forward to the day it hatched. If he's not wrong, a Togepi egg hatched like a normal egg. It did glow but not give out blinding light like eggs from other races. He wondered if there would be any differences in this world.

Put the egg aside, Lyon was separating torture tools from the loot. What to do with them? Thoroughly destroyed! He didn't need them and also didn't want to see them. Why the h€ll did that psychopath bring these torture tools with him while being chased in the first place?

Lyon sorted out the loot and found a lot of good stuff. There were different kinds of Poké Balls, rare berries, medicines, different kinds of items, machines and other unknown miscellaneous stuff. "Wow, did that man robbed a bank or something? D@mn, Joltérax was filthy rich, so different from a commoner like me." Lyon was amazed at such a scene unfolded in front of him. "But they're in my hands so they belonged to me now. Ha ha ha!"

Lyon became a bit crazy because he also saw all kinds of evolution stones. Kirlia would need a Dawn Stone to evolve into Gallade. After Honedge evolved into Doublade, it would need a Dusk Stone to evolve into Aegislash. Although Lyon didn't know if this Honedge could evolve when it's in a state like a coma. Minccino and Togetic, which was evolved from Togepi with high friendship, both would need a Shiny Stone to evolve into Cinccino and Togekiss. And last but not least, Eevee also needed evolution stones to evolve into Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon. But the problem was Lyon didn't know what had happened to Eevee. He clearly saw after had already evolved into Sylveon, it turned its form back to Eevee. What was that? Devolution? Lyon also needed to study this phenomenon.

He was very happy when he also found a lot of things could be materials for his researches. There were even Mega Stones here. D@mn! Lyon also needed to study these high-tech items.

All that left was a bunch of miscellaneous stuff: food, water, clothes, money,... Whoa! That's a lot of money. This psychopath was really rich. Just what was his job to get all these? Lyon then looked at a stack of paper. He started picking up one by one to read. They were all written in this world language so it might take a lot of time.

One could say Lyon was Lyon from both the previous world and this world. When Lyon was reincarnated, he inherited all the memories of this body's owner. Though it was overwhelmed at the start, he later got used to it, recovered full memories of this body and began to learn the knowledge inside his brain, mostly this world language. Because the ex-owner could talk a little, it was quite easy for Lyon to learn how to speak normally. Though he couldn't use complicated vocabulary.

Fortunately, to satisfy his curiosity, this kid had read a lot of books although he didn't understand most of them. Now Lyon could use them to decipher these papers. It took a lot of time but his effort was worthwhile.

Although in such a short time, Lyon couldn't decipher everything, he was still able to understand them to some extent. There were Joltérax's notes, some business contracts, some bills from auctions... Lyon could summarize that Joltérax was some kind of collector and thief.

That psycho collected rare things from all over the world. Some were collected by himself. Some were bought from dealers and auctions. A lot of them were stolen from their rightful owner. Joltérax did anything necessary to get what he wanted. And he sold and resold things he didn't need at a high price to get money. They're rare or illegal after all.

Done with this stuff, Lyon started to inspect a ring. This was taken off from Joltérax's finger. Lyon did so because he was curious. When thinking back how Joltérax pulled a syringe out of nowhere and put it away into thin air, he wondered what was the cause. Lyon didn't really notice this because he was tortured at that time. But now he suspected this ring worked like a Spatial Ring.

Too bad after a long time studying, Lyon wasn't able to find the trick. If this was a Spatial Ring, it would need to use some kind of energy to build the space. Oh, right! Energy! It needed energy. The most suitable energy for human should be Aura and Psychic. Arrived at this conclusion, Lyon immediately called Kirlia, Riolu, and Espurr over.

- What can I do for you, my Lord?

Riolu asked him in a solemn manner. Well, Lyon was kind of used to its behaviors. He told them to take turns putting their energy carefully to the ring and try to take out the items inside.

And the result was all three of them could do so. Then either Aura or Psychic was okay, huh? Lyon asked them to take all the items inside out. And another bunch of stuff appeared on the ground but this time, he did not feel happy.

Lyon almost fainted when he saw these things. WTH!!?? Was that Beast Ball, the special Poké Ball designed to catch Ultra Beasts? And these memory discs, these cassettes, these stone tablets... They're not those Memory items, Drive items, and Plate items for Silvally, Genesect, and Arceus, right? And these definitely were not Rainbow Wing, Silver Wing and Lunar Wing from Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Cresselia, ha ha ha. This also was not DNA Splicers for Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom. Oh, that looked like Soul Dew from Latios and Latias. Such a good replica! And this looked like Sacred Ash taken from Ho-Oh. To think they had the ability to make a fake looked this real. Wow, those orbs! Red Orb, Blue Orb, Jade Orb, Adamant Orb, Lustrous Orb, Griseous Orb. The figures of Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina came to his mind. Lyon was amazed at how skillfully a counterfeit could be made.

His heart was beating so fast it could burst at any moment. This was too many stimulations. Lyon had gone insane already. He received a bunch of items, which absolutely had no use for him at all aside from bringing troubles to him. And how could that psycho gather all these things anyway? Lyon wanted to throw them away immediately to avoid any troubles might come his way but he was kind of worried thinking these items might end up in the wrong hands, especially when there were a lot of criminals in this part of the forest.

MOTHERF#CKER!!! Well, there's no other way aside from hiding all these stuff FOREVER. He got no use for them anyway. And it's not like there's anyone knew Lyon had taken possession of these items. But now the most terrifying fact was there's a box gave off an ominous vibe lying in the middle of those things. And not just any boxes. It's a box which was engraved with a big pink symbol similar to a variant letter Z.

Yup! That's the thing. Lyon saw this symbol before when he met the two pink men from Zelta. He understood immediately this box was the reason Joltérax being chased. Lyon knew that son of a b!tch was a psychopath but he didn't think Joltérax was crazy enough to freaking steal from a big criminal organization.

Lyon didn't really want to know what's inside. Well, running away wouldn't solve the problem. He opened the box. And when Lyon finally saw the things inside, he froze.

There were six similar balls in the box. The top and bottom halves were divided by a horizontal black band, on which the button was found on all other Poké Balls. The top half of the Master Ball was purple, with a white letter "M" on the front and with a pink circle on either side.

Yup! No matter how Lyon tried to look, they're still there. Unmistakably Master Balls! Not one but two... three... four... five... six!!! There were freaking SIX Master Balls!!! What was this? Somehow the situation became a whole lot more dangerous.

After being rigid for a couple of minutes, Lyon stood up and signaled Eevee to get closer. He asked it to run to Linoone's pack and call them over.

- We need them to do us a favor right now. Tell them I'll compensate twice as normal. Hurry!

Eevee immediately ran out of the cave. In the meantime, without any words, without any needless actions, Lyon and his Pokémons hurriedly packed up everything. And when Eevee came back with Linoone's pack, Lyon asked them to carry everything including the heap of carcasses in front of the cave then immediately get the h€ll out of there without ever turning back.
