After healing Beautifly, the pink pink group left. Lyon expressed his gratitude, gave them a lot of food and sent them off. It seemed they were all like the gifts and merrily went their way. Before departing, they did not forget to flirt with Eevee. Stop it! (Only Lyon thought so. They were simply bidding farewell.)

Beautifly became the newest member. It was from a weak race with limited potential. A long time ago, Lyon played the game and chose to train Beautifly once. He immediately regretted it. Compare to other Pokémon, it's weak to the point that made him frustrated. So if you asked Lyon what's his impression and would he choose to train Beautifly again, the answer would be "It's weak AF" and "H€LL NO!" No hard feelings because it's only his GRUDGE. And here he was, training another Beautifly again.

Lyon didn't have any prejudices against a race with low stats. He also didn't believe in the teaching "Only talented people succeed." That's bullsh!t. The ones who succeeded were the ones still standing at the end. So talent was an important factor but not everything.

Like how Lyon brought Beautifly with him all the way in the game (though he didn't bother to get Beautifly when he replayed), he believed he had enough endurance to train this one. But different from the game where Beautifly would end up weak no matter how hard you trained, this was a real world. You could exchange blood, sweat, and tears for power.

Just like Linoone the one he had met before. In its pack, there existed not only Zigzagoon and Linoone but also their Galarian forms and Obstagoon. Linoone was not a Galarian form so it would never have a chance to evolve into Obstagoon. Nevertheless, it still became the ultimate leader and ruled a big area in this forest.

When Lyon knew this fact, he found it was dope. And he expected Beautifly, who also was very strong-willed, to be able to become the same. That's the reason why he gave Beautifly a chance. If Lyon didn't think so, he would create some mediocre substitutes to help it fly again then set it free immediately without any bothers of training it. Though Beautifly would need to train harder than anyone else to overcome its shortcomings.

But the biggest problem was it didn't have the ability to move right now. So Lyon needed to create a pair of artificial wings ASAP. Somehow he felt like the number of research projects he needed to conduct increased noticeably.

Lyon took out a silver ball from his pocket. This was the electric net had trapped Espurr. It turned back to this state after Espurr broke free from the net. Lyon had secretly picked it up for plan B earlier. The good thing was he didn't need to use it. Because Lyon didn't know how to use it, the best he could do was threw it and hoped for a miracle. He also wanted to study this. Ah, the silver cube, the gun, the whip, and the knives too.

Right now Lyon and the bunch was disposing of Joltérax's corpse. He already got experience so it didn't take much time. This was not a good sign. Lyon thought after coming to this world, he changed a lot. The number of people he had killed increased to three. Wouldn't he become a serial killer at this point? But there's no other way at the time. Somehow Lyon missed the previous world. At least people still abided by the law on the surface.

Lyon usually laughed at how stupid the villains in those stories could be in such a critical time. But from now on, he wouldn't make fun of them anymore. Thanks to those stupid actions, Lyon was still alive and not dead in the first place.

And after fighting against Joltérax, he came to a conclusion. The villains, they were not stupid. Some of them were even more intelligent than protagonists. But they're bored. They're f#cking bored. That's why they played around to relieve their boredom and give their enemies time to turn the tables on them. So one should remember to do it quick and clean. Lesson learned!

Abruptly, Lyon stopped his hands in midair. The others didn't understand what happened. They also stopped and looked at him but Lyon was too busy looking at Joltérax's corpse to notice. Weird! He felt weird looking at this corpse.

At first, he thought he felt that way because he was the one who killed Joltérax but that's not it. This feeling was like you forgot something but you couldn't remember no matter how hard you tried. Lyon looked back at his memories to search for any oddities.

His first impression when Lyon met Joltérax was that psycho looked like a gentleman. Right! Joltérax didn't look like someone who was being chased at all. He should have looked haggard and disheveled or something. But no! From the start, it looked like he was only going to take a stroll in the park. Joltérax was completely calm and composed. That's not the actions of someone who had been on the run.

And some of his behaviors were strange too. Like how he didn't really bother he could be found out by his chasers. Or how he didn't kill him right then and there but started torturing Lyon like he had all the time in the world. Or how he didn't care he was bleeding, which could lead to his death but wanted to beat up Zangoose instead. Or how he never felt fear once, even when a gun was put again his forehead. Joltérax was surprised, shocked but not fear.

It's not like he wasn't scared of death. In fact, Joltérax still acted like he wanted to avoid his end but very half-hearted like it didn't really matter if he died like he was sure he wouldn't die. But a gun was put against his forehead, why did he act that way? Or did he think a gun couldn't kill him?

When Lyon arrived at this conclusion, suddenly he was chilled to the bones. He immediately inspected the corpse again. Yup, Joltérax was dead. Couldn't be more dead. Lyon was kind of relieved to confirm this fact. He was just too traumatized that he's afraid Joltérax could suddenly arise like in some zombie movies.

Just in case, Lyon held the gun, raised his hand and pulled the trigger again. Another hole appeared on Joltérax's forehead. Only now Lyon felt secure. He immediately disposed of this corpse. He didn't want to see Joltérax any seconds longer. Lyon preferred to meet a ghost rather than someone like Joltérax ever again. This whole thing was too bizarre! And this man was too creepy!

Lyon put aside these doubts. It's useless to keep thinking about a dead man. How could a normal person understand a psychopath's line of thoughts? Right now Lyon sorted out the loot. And the first thing that caught his eyes was a peculiar egg. There were red and blue shapes on the shell. Lyon was too familiar with this design because he had seen it countless times in the series. This was a Togepi egg.
