5. Criminals

- Iron Tail.

After hearing his command, Eevee hardened its bushy tail and slammed it into the big boulder. Every time Lyon saw this scene, he couldn't help but felt weird. Probably because he watched anime so many time, it was uncomfortable to see how Iron Tail worked in real life. In the anime, the tail should be glowing while using the move. But in reality, Eevee's tail only appeared to turn silvery gray. There's no doubt that it became steellike. You could see some sort of energy concentrated on its tail but, well, it didn't glow like in those anime. Other moves were a bit different as well. Lyon looked at the result and felt satisfied. Its move had shattered the big boulder. Well, to begin with, Eevee had been super strong.

- Let's stop here today, Eevee. You worked hard.

Lyon praised and started rubbing its head. Eevee gave cute barks in delight. He just couldn't help smiling. "Yup. No other creatures could be cuter than Eevee." This was his conclusion after living with Eevee for a couple of days.

- You probably are already hungry. Let's go back to our home.

Eevee responded to his words with a short bark and led the way through the forest. He summarized what he had done these days.

Firstly, he succeeded in creating new food. It tasted better and corrected Eevee's growth. He still tried to change different flavor though.

Secondly, he proved that Pokémon can learn moves without artificial tools. In the anime and such, some moves can only be learnt with the help of TM, HM,... But in this world, Eevee could learn those by training properly and reasonably. From the start, a move is learnable which means that Pokémon has the potential to learn already.

And lastly, he only found this by chance that Eevee had all three abilities: Run Away, Adaptability and Anticipation. Yup, it's not imagination.

He recognized Run Away when Eevee battled against Murkrow. It used Mean Look but Eevee was still able to flee.

Another day, when Eevee was battling with Nidorino, he perceived that some of Eevee's moves had different power from before. After a while, he was able to conclude that all those Normal-type moves were more effective than usual but other type moves stayed the same. From how it looked, it was probably Adaptability.

And the day before yesterday, Lyon saw Eevee shuddered when they met Rhyhorn. He thought he imagined it but the moment Rhyhorn used Horn Drill shattered his wishful thinking. It was so damn powerful that Eevee had a hard time fighting against. Lyon took Eevee to battles to confirm his thought and found that Eevee shuddered every time it met an opponent that could be considered as a threat. It was a shock to know that his Eevee had all three abilities.

But Lyon was sure that Eevee didn't have Adaptability and Anticipation earlier. He then thought of a possible circumstance. Probably Pokémon was able to develop abilities as they grew? Lyon was exhilarated by a new project but he couldn't confirm his theory right now. He had to put it off until he got another Pokémon.

As he was pondering while walking, Eevee suddenly stopped and let out a small bark. Lyon startled and immediately kept his guard up. Eevee ran to the side and hid in the bush. Lyon followed and curled up, tried to be as small as possible and looked at the direction of Eevee's eyes. There were two grown-up men with weird uniform talking. Somehow they reminded him of the villainous team in the anime. Their uniforms had a variant of Z symbol on it. And it was pink. Urgh!

"Well, I'd better not mingle with those weirdos." Lyon signaled Eevee to leave immediately. "Who knows what will happen if we loiter any longer." But he heard a growl of fury right after they decided to move.

- Who's there? Numel, use Ember towards that bush.

Motherf#cker!!! Anf3@€8stp#%&04drox7$¥ They didn't even bother to check who it was and attacked immediately without any reasons!!! Lyon and Eevee instantly jumped to the side to dodge the fire.

After coming to this world, he had thought "What if I had a strong body, and was able to dodge that car. Maybe I wouldn't have to die easily." So Eevee wasn't the only one who trained. This kind of situation was just a piece of cake.

- A child? Poochyena, use Bite to attack him.

The nasty man raised a question but immediately followed by another attack command. This motherf#cker! Poochyena opened its mouth and showed its sharp fangs. But Lyon didn't freak out and immediately ordered Eevee calmly.

- Double Kick!

Eevee jumped to intercept Poochyena's move and kicked its jaws and head. The two impacts made Poochyena take a few steps back. It couldn't help but whine in pain. They had Poochyena. No wonder they could easily find where Lyon and Eevee were hiding.

- Are you one of those villainous team? You shouldn't attack people without any warnings. Rain Dance.

Whatever the case was, he didn't have the intention to let them leave. Poochyena had aimed to bite his neck. If that attack succeeded, he would become a corpse on the cold hard ground. They didn't even blink while killing a person and the way Poochyena acted so natural meant they used to murders. Well, they were the first people he met in this world. He wanted some information from them though.

Eevee started to move and dance mysteriously. Its body was surrounded in a blue aura. After a while, dark clouds appeared in the sky and it started to pour.

- Oh, so you know about us. That's right! We are the great duo of Team Zelta.

- That Eevee is also not bad. We could sell it for a large sum of money.

"Yup, thanks for your introduction, idiots. You just give me a reason to kill you." To Lyon, Eevee was not just a Pokémon. It was his friend, his family. He already wanted to eradicate them when he found they intended to kill him. But Lyon still tried to restrain his urge as a normal being. That's why he wanted to know if they were criminals or not. And the moment he heard them planned to hurt Eevee, it snapped. But there was still something he wanted to know.

- It's illegal to steal Pokémon and kill others. Don't you know that?

- What the hell? Haha, did you think some police will show up and save you?

- Such a cute child! It must be wonderful to hear his screams from being torn apart to pieces. Haha.

Urgh. Disgusting. Well, now he knew that there's no need to show them mercy.

- Poochyena, use Crunch to tear them apart.

- This rain is getting annoying. But it's no use. Numel, Take Down.

They rushed at a very high speed towards Eevee. Numel's body glowed gold and Poochyena's fangs were surrounded by a dark aura. Lyon just stood there without any worries. From the start, he only thought of them as pests at most. Eevee had Anticipation but it didn't have the slightest reaction. So it would be super easy to f#ck them up.

Poochyena already suffered from Double Kick earlier. It was super effective against him. So another attack and Poochyena would be out of the game. Numel was hindered by the rain. If Eevee used a powerful Water-type move then that's the end.

- Bouncy Bubble.

Eevee opened its mouth and shot a large number of blue bubbles at them. As it touched them, the bubbles exploded and water splashed everywhere. The impact was so strong that they were overwhelmed and thrown backward for a long distance. Both Poochyena and Numel grunted painfully and fainted.
