After being done with releasing them all, even though he was tired and want to have a quick rest, Lyon persisted in making friends with them; mainly because there were some Pokémon he really liked. He also thought of having more Pokémon as he didn't feel there would be any pressure if he had to take care of more Pokémon. He had a Spatial Ring, so he could make a lot of food and store it for later. If he concentrated on making food for a day, and with the help from his cute Pokémon, who tried to help when they didn't train, they could make food enough for three months. Not to mention Togepi and Happiny, who had agreed to go with him, would be great assistants after they evolved. Though it's a shame when Happiny didn't want to fight.

And he also didn't have to spend too much energy on training them, as his method of training was giving them tasks to complete on their own. Sometimes he gave instructions or some pieces of advice, let them freely train, be creative, and have their own thoughts. Lyon believed that he needed to guide them, not chained them with his ideas, and let them be independent in case there was a time he couldn't give any command. The only ones that needed his attention were the newborns, Togepi and Happiny. Oh, and Minccino too. As it was naughty when the rest of them was self-discipline. Eevee, Kirlia, and Zangoose had followed him for a long time so he didn't need to supervise them for every little thing. Honedge was controlled and supplied energy by Zangoose so he didn't need to watch it much. He only needed to feed Zangoose twice as much. And Riolu... he was under the impression that its species had self-discipline engraved in their bones. Espurr was kind of a dork. Its mind was always out of place and dazed off to somewhere far away. Thankfully, it knew what it was doing. Lyon guessed that Espurr was like a certain Psyduck. Too much psychic energy made its thought process a bit slow or something. It was still a good boy though. Beautifly and Deerling were the most hard-working as they had worse potential compared to others. At first, Lyon had to keep an eye on them. But after listening to his guidance, they knew their limit and when to stop so they wouldn't overuse their body. So Minccino was the only one he had to monitor its training. And Celebi... Never mind, he didn't count it as his Pokémon.

Thus this was the time to have new companions. Especially when there were a lot of Pokémon which was rare and had great potential to grow. In his mind, he kept giggling while he moved towards his admired Pokémon. It was a bipedal, blue, reptilian Pokémon vaguely resembling a Pachycephalosaurus. It possessed a large, round snout, triangular eyes, yellow, circular ears similar to reptiles, and a yellow lower jaw with two teeth protruding upwards. Three thick, gray ridges covered the top of its head and continued downwards to cover its neck as well. There was a triangular patch of yellow on its underside. It had stubby, digit-less arms and short legs with two toes on each foot. Yep, it was a Bagon.

There were several Bagon that grouped up a bit far away from the center. Lyon stepped forwards and asked if any of them would want to come with him. If they wanted to, they could even have a battle to test if he was worthy enough. Lyon had thought of several visions when they accepted or rejected him and how he should react. But never in his imagination that they would treat him this way. Some of them were totally ignored him like he was air or a pebble on the side of the road. The rest of them gave him a look of contempt like he was some trashes that needed to be thrown away or they would vomit all over. "Hey, I was your benefactor, remember?" He wanted to scream but held it back.

-Fine, your loss.

Lyon turned away and looked for other Pokémon. Although he really liked Salamence, it was no use if they didn't want to cooperate. He didn't think much and treated it as they didn't have the fate to be together. "Ok, that sounds weird." Lyon shook his head and told his Pokémon to not mind them. It seemed that his Pokémon didn't like how they treated them. Even the cutie pie Minccino was angry.

Lyon asked a group of Gible and received the same treatment. Well, a bit better because they didn't outright disdain him but he could feel that they also looked down on him. After bracing himself again, Lyon walked towards other Dragon-type Pokemon. Although he liked Salamence and Garchomp the most as they had mega evolution, the others weren't so bad. Lyon went to a group of Dreepy and was totally ignored. He had figured that Dragon/Ghost-type was ok and he would love to have a Dragapult but his dream shattered again.

Lyon took a deep breath to calm him down. He then proceeded to Deino, which he found himself was also quite fond of. Unfortunately, he was ignored again. Later, Lyon tried asking Jangmo-o, Goomy, or Axew but was thoroughly ignored again.

"I just want to have a Dragon-type Pokémon." He's feeling blue after failing over and over again. Lyon ruminated on the reason why they all acted like that. It might have something to do with the fact that they're all Dragon-type and everyone knew they were a prideful race. They shouldn't be rude to the point of disregarding their benefactor (although they felt that Lyon only tagged along and other Pokémon did all the work, according to Riolu). At first, they were still behaving normally. But the moment Lyon asked them, they immediately changed their attitude and gave him a glance that screamed he was overestimating himself. Lyon inspected his body from head to toe and was sure there was nothing weird. It must have been because he was a newbie trainer. They could feel it and refused to have a weak owner.

Lyon turned to other Pokémon that he was also interested in. He asked a Growlithe nearby and got a refusal. "Well, no hesitation!" He walked to the side, closer to a group of Flabébé, Floette, and Florges. Again, he asked if they wanted to join him. But all Flabébé were shivering. It seemed they were still scared. And others shook their head. "Ok, so today isn't a great day for me." Lyon decided to give up. That was when he heard a voice call him from behind.
