30. Damsel In Distress

Lyon and his Pokémon didn't know where they should go but one thing's for sure, they needed to stay away from this place. At least they had to get out of the area under control of Zelta. So Lyon decided to go the opposite way.

He didn't want to live too far from Linoone's pack because he had established a good relationship with them and there were a lot of merits to having the protection from the supreme ruler of this area. He had considered communicating with other rulers but gave up instantly when he heard they're really aggressive.

To become the top dog, they were obliged to go through countless battles to decide the leader. And the fact they're all from races with high stats just made the battles fiercer. So it's understandable their personalities were all affected and became more aggressive than normally. The likes of them probably would give him a b!tchslap from disturbing them. Lyon wouldn't go to meet them because he still valued his life very much.

Linoone was an oddity. It didn't have the ability to evolve into the final form of its evolutionary line. Its personality was also mild, totally different from the rest of the rulers. So it's more understandable if an Obstagoon had become the ruler instead of Linoone. Even so, none of the other rulers dared to mess with Linoone. The reason was its pack wasn't a pack but a legion. Lyon was used to calling them a pack because usually, he only saw those at the top of the hierarchy accompanying Linoone. But this wasn't the main reason. The main reason was Linoone abnormally overpowered others easily. So only those had cerebral softening would be reckless enough to provoke Linoone. Lyon wouldn't be surprised if suddenly Linoone evolved into another form he didn't know its existence when it was this strong, even stronger than Obstagoon, the Galarian final form.

Right now, Lyon and his Pokémons were passing through Linoone's territory. They were allowed to do so and thanks to this shortcut, they quickly got out of Zelta's domain. Lyon then chose a foothill and instructed his Pokémons to dig a cave. He couldn't find a natural cave so he decided to make one. It's a bit hard when Lyon didn't have any Rock-type or Ground-type Pokémon but they finished building their lair.

Their new home had different rooms: bedrooms, spare rooms, a kitchen, toilets, a storage room, a laboratory, an enormous living room, dining room, and bathroom. It's necessary to have different rooms like this because their members, including Lyon, increased to eleven. That's a lot. They couldn't just all be stuffed in a room when they needed to rest, right? Well, he didn't intend to raise this much Pokémons. At this rate, he might have to call himself zookeeper instead of Pokémon trainer.

The reason they made an enormous living room, dining room, and bathroom were that those rooms were where they usually gathered. And the bathroom, it couldn't really be considered a bathroom when they literally built a freaking pool aside from bathtubs. They could take the water from the nearby stream to fill the pool and bathtubs. Easy-peasy.

Lyon put all the carcasses into the new-built storage room. The supposed cave somehow turned out to be a really fancy underground house. Lyon and his Pokémons moved in and resumed their daily life. He made food, trained himself and others, did his research... But his first priority was to help Beautifly and studied the strange devolution on Eevee.

Lyon was a bit relieved to know Beautifly could conduct its life normally. Because of the tortures, somehow Beautifly could use its two moves『Psychic』and『Giga Drain』more efficiently.

To resist the death, Beautifly had to continuously use『Giga Drain』on the carcasses of the dead Pokémons to suck out any energy left. That's how Beautifly was able to stay alive while keeping bleeding from the tortures.

Lyon also found it was weird when Beautifly could learn『Psychic』on its own. It turned out that Beautifly's mental power had increased enough to use『Psychic』after it had been enduring endless tortures from Joltérax. And now Beautifly used『Psychic』on its body to be able to float in the air.
