In the weeks since she was taken in by the Bad Batch, Omega tries to cope with all that's happened to her. While she now had a home and people to call family, a dark shadow loomed over Omega. She could feel the shadow of Overhaul looming over her. The horrors she endured still haunted her dreams. Hunter could see this and did everything he could to try and help her, but everything so far has failed. As time passes, Hunter grows more concerned with Omega. Hunter then speaks to the rest of the Bad Batch about Omega.

Hunter: I'm worried about Omega.

Wrecker: Kid seems fine to me!

Tech: Physically, yes. Her mental state however is another story. She's showing signs of severe PTSD, most likely due to what she endured as a prisoner of Overhaul.

Crosshair: Why are we wasting our time with this kid? We rescued her. As far as I'm concerned, she's no longer our problem.

Hunter: And what about Omega? She's just kid and she has no one! We're all she has!

Crosshair: And? We're not babysitters. We're Pro Heroes.

Hunter: I have already made my decision on this matter. Omega is saying with us.

Hunter glances over to see Omega getting up and walking to her room. As this happened, Jiro entered the Bad Batch's headquarters carrying a Bass Guitar and an amp.

Crosshair: I'm going to the range.

With that, Crosshair walks away to the gun range. Hunter could tell that the conversation about Omega is far from over. As Tech and Wrecker go back to what they were doing, Jiro walks over to Hunter.

Jiro: Is something wrong?

Hunter: It's...it's about Omega. She....she still hasn't recovered from what those bastards did to her. Even when we took her in, it's....it's like she's still a prisoner. It's like she's never escaped.

As Hunter said this, Jiro felt sorry for Omega. She couldn't imagine what the poor girl went through. She saw that what was happening to Omega was all too similar to what was going on with Eri.

Jiro: There....there has to be something we can do for her.

Hunter: I've asked Shino to help me try to help Omega, but she's been having the same luck as I have. Heh. I've faced down more suicide missions than I could count. Even fought All For One himself. But this, I don't know what I'm doing. For the first time in my life, I'm not sure how to proceed with this.

As Hunter says this, Jiro's thoughts fell on Omega. She wanted nothing more than to make Omega smile to at least give her some semblance of a happy childhood. In that moment, an idea popped in her head.

Jiro: What if we took Omega to the Cultural Festival?

Hunter: The Cultural Festival?

Jiro: UA's holding a Cultural Festival for all the students to blow off steam and have fun. All the classes are gonna be holding events to exhibit. My class is gonna be doing a band performance. Maybe...maybe that could help Omega.

At this point, Hunter was running out of options. All that mattered to him was to help Omega.

Hunter: If you think it'll work, we'll give it a shot.

Jiro: It'll be in a few days. I just need to practice.

Hunter: Tech's quarters has a studio. Just let him know.

With that, Jiro heads up to Tech's quarters to use the studio to practice. As Hunter was left alone, he takes a deep breath and reflects on his situation. He glances over to the door to Omega's room. He walks in to find Omega sitting on her bed.

Hunter: Omega? Listen, Jiro's invited us to watch her class perform at the Cultural Festival. I....I think it'll be good for all of us.

As Hunter said this, Omega had no response. Hunter became deeply concerned for Omega as he walked up to Omega and placed his hand on his shoulder.

Hunter: Omega, I know things have been hard for you, but I want you to know that I'm doing everything I can to make this place a home for you.

As Hunter said this, Omega began to cry softly.

Hunter: What's wrong, Omega?

Omega: I'm....scared. I'm scared that when I close my eyes and open them again you'll be gone. And I'll be alone and the....the bad men will come take me away and...punish me for running away...for trying to be...to be...good...

As Omega began to cry, Hunter hugged Omega to try and comfort her.

Hunter: It's okay, Omega. I promise I'll be here when you wake up. And I will be here by your side every moment as long as it takes. No one will ever hurt you again. I won't let anything happen to you. You'll be safe here. I promise, Omega.

Without warning, Omega hugged Hunter tightly. Omega felt some comfort in Hunter's words as he wiped the tears from her eyes and tucked her in.

Hunter: Get some rest. Good night, Omega.

Omega: Good night, Hunter. T...thank you.

As Omega fell asleep, Hunter walked out of Omega's room and closed the door. Once Hunter was outside Omega's room, Hunter drops to his knees.

Hunter: What the hell am I doing?

In that moment, Hunter realized that the task of raising Omega would be the most difficult task he has undertaken. But with all that Omega has been through, Hunter was willing to undertake this task and do everything he can to give Omega a better life.
