They call themselves the Bad Batch. They are known as an unorthodox group of Pro Heroes that specialize in various high risk tasks. Together, the Bad Batch made a name for themselves as Pro Heroes who get the job done. They're the best at what they...
As Jiro began her training under the Bad Batch, she was quickly put through rigorous physical training. Rigorous training was something she was used to as she had Aizawa as a homeroom teacher. However, Jiro quickly realized that the training regimen of the Bad Batch was something different. Jiro's first task was to complete an obstacle course to which she failed.
Jiro: Damn it!
Hunter: Relax, kid. No one ever completes the Pit on the first try.
Jiro: The Pit?
Hunter: A little slice of heaven as you can see. By the time we're done with you, the Pit should be a walk in the park. Now that's going to be enough training for now.
Jiro: But we're only just begun!
Hunter: But you're lacking vital equipment. If you're going to part of the 99, then you're going need armor like ours. Go see Tech. He'll set you straight.
Jiro followed Hunter's orders and left the Pit. She soon made her way to Tech's workshop.
Jiro: Tech? Hunter said you'd help me in making my armor.
Tech: Hunter sent you to the right place. I took the liberty of drawing up blueprints for your armor. I took your Quirk as well as your fighting style into consideration.
Jiro: What about my measurements?
Tech: I managed to get into contact with the Support Company who designed your costume. I was able to get the measurements I needed to accurately design your armor. With that out of the way, we can work on your armor's design. As you may have noticed, no armor among us is the same. Your armor is a reflection of yourself so to speak.
Tech then uses his Chart Quirk to show a holographic model of Jiro's potential armor.

Jiro was immediately drawn to the design of the armor. She saw that the armor had stereos built into the boots and gloves into them.
Jiro: Whoa....
Tech: There's still some finishing touches I need to add. Is there any...personal touches you want to add to it?
Jiro took a good look at the design of the armor Tech had made. Jiro could feel that there was something missing from the design. She wanted this armor to truly be her own. She then thought back to her own appearance, specifically her hair and her old Hero Costume.
Jiro: You know my hair reflections?
Tech: You mean the ones shaped like heartbeat monitor waves?
Jiro: Yeah. I want something like that marked on my helmet in the same place as my hair.
Tech: That won't be a problem. Anything else?
Jiro: And I also want two larger chevron-shaped marks under the helmet's visor like the face paint I wore with my old costume.
Tech: Also won't be a problem. I've already retrofitted the original design of the armor to fit with your Quirk. It shouldn't take too long before it's ready.
Jiro: But why, though? What if I don't make the cut?
As Jiro asked that question, Tech couldn't help but chuckle.
Tech: Hunter wouldn't have taken you in if he didn't believe you could make it. I mean you're still here with Aizawa as your teacher, not to mention your internship with Death Arms.
As Tech said this, Jiro reflected on Aizawa's teachings as well as her internships with Death Arms. They were both strict in terms of their methods. She also remembered how Death Arms voiced his dislike for the Bad Batch.
Jiro: Yeah. Death Arms really doesn't like you guys.
Tech: We're aware of that. A lot of Pro Heroes don't like us with some exceptions.
Jiro: Like Mr. Aizawa and the Pussycats?
Tech: With some others. Though with the Pussycats, it mostly because of Hunter's relationship with Mandalay. Our teams didn't really get along at first. It smoothed out over time and became something of a friendly rivalry.
Jiro was learning more and more about the Bad Batch and how they were viewed by their fellow Pro Heroes.
Jiro: There's so much about the Bad Batch I don't know about.
Tech: There's not much to learn, to be honest. Just keep your head on straight and you should make it. It won't be easy, but you already know this.
Jiro was quick to agree with Tech on this.
Tech: You want my advice?
Jiro: Of course.
Tech: Crosshair is the one that's going to be hardest to impress. You're already on good terms with Hunter. Wrecker is going to be fairly easy to impress. And I enjoy your company.
Jiro: Got it. Thanks.
Tech soon began the process of building Jiro's armor. As she exited his workshop, Wrecker was standing outside. Jiro couldn't help but be intimidated by Wrecker's immense size as she remembered how he ragdolled some of her classmates.
Jiro: Uh, hey Wrecker.
Wrecker was silent for a moment, Jiro couldn't help but feel terrified of Wrecker's imposing figure. Wrecker soon flashes a smile on his face and pats her on the back which nearly knocks her down.
Wrecker: Hunter wanted you to meet him by the Pit!
Jiro: Uh...got it. Thanks, Wrecker.
Jiro then makes her way to the Pit where Hunter was waiting for her.
Hunter: How was Tech?
Jiro: We managed to work out my armor's design.
Hunter: Good. You're gonna need it the next time you run the Pit. In the meantime, rest up. You're going to be sparring with Wrecker first thing in the morning followed by sniper training with Crosshair.
Jiro: G...got it.
With that, Jiro decided to take the rest of the day to rest for tomorrow's training. With a hard day of training ahead of her, Jiro needed all the rest she could get.
