After embarking on their mission to capture Crosshair, the Bad Batch and Jiro make their way to Deika City. After a short and silent trip, the Bad Batch lands the Havoc Marauder on the rooftop of a building overlooking the city. As the Havoc Marauder landed, the Bad Batch and Jiro exited the Havoc Marauder where Tech uses his Chart Quirk to map out the city.
Hunter: What do you got, Tech?
Tech: I've mapped out several possible locations where Crosshair could be located. But without a good bird's eye view of those locations as well as the rest of the city, we'd be walking into the city blind.
Wrecker: If anybody gives us trouble, I'll pummel them!
Tech: That's not going to be a good idea, Wrecker. The Meta Liberation Army has all but complete control of the city.
Hunter: Combine that with the League of Villains, we're walking straight into the lion's den. Things can get messy REAL quick.
Jiro: So what's our plan?
Hunter and Tech began looking over the layout of the city as well as the possible locations for where Crosshair could be. Hunter quickly realized that the search could be difficult. It would be like finding a needle in a haystack. But given their current situation, they had very few options.
Hunter: Our only option is to search each of these locations for Crosshair. We'll have to keep a low profile. We'll have to ditch our armor.
With that, the Bad Batch took off their armor and went into the city wearing the clothing underneath the armor. As they made their way to the streets, Omega exited the Havoc Marauder and followed them. Meanwhile, the Bad Batch and Jiro walked the streets of Deika City with people staring at them.
Wrecker: This place gives me the creeps!
Tech: We are newcomers to the city. Suspicion of strangers is a natural response.
Hunter: Just keep your head down and don't do anything that'll draw attention. The last thing we need is to cross paths with the Meta Liberation Army.
Jiro: What do we do when we find Crosshair?
Hunter: We'll need to take him down quickly and extract him before the League or the Meta Liberation Army can swarm us.
Jiro: But how? What if he's with the entire League?
At this point, Jiro made a valid point. Hunter and the rest of the Bad Batch knew even if they were to find Crosshair, extracting him would be difficult as they were in the heart of a city controlled by the Meta Liberation Army. After a moment of silence, Hunter sighed.
Hunter: Let's just hope that the entire League isn't here. Which is why we need to find Crosshair as quickly as possible.
With that, the Bad Batch and Jiro continued their search for Crosshair while Omega followed them. Meanwhile at a bar on the other side of the city, Crosshair and Swordkil walk inside and take a seat. Once they take their seat, they were quickly approached by a group of people. One of whom appeared to be a Pro Hero.
Pro Hero: Can I help you, mister?
Swordkil: That depends.
Pro Hero: You two aren't from around here, are you?
Swordkil: Was that so obvious? We're not looking for any trouble unless you are.
As Swordkil said this, Crosshair glanced around the room. He could see all the people staring at them. It was clear to Crosshair that they were not welcome. Some of those people were making a specific gesture at them by making an L with their hands and placing the thumb on their foreheads.
Pro Hero: What brings you here?
Swordkil: I'm looking for someone. A man named Giran.
Pro Hero: Giran? You mean the information broker? Someone like that would never be welcome in our liberated district.
Swordkil: Not from what I've heard. Heard it through the grapevine that Giran was taken to this city. Not naming any names, but we would like him back, alive.
As Swordkil said this, things became tense.
Crosshair: The Meta Liberation Arrmy: an organization built on the ideas of Destro. The idea that the free use of Quirks is a basic Human right.
Pro Hero: I see you're well informed, stranger.
There was another tense moment of silence. Crosshair said nothing as he surveyed the entire room. After a moment, the Pro Hero glances to Crosshair.
Pro Hero: Don't I know you from somewhere?
Crosshair said nothing as he glared at the Pro Hero. Swordkil soon speaks up.
Swordkil: Let's not waste each other's times. My colleague and I have no qualms with the Meta Liberation Army....not yet anyway. So why don't you tell us where Giran is and we'll be on our way.
Pro Hero: I'm going to have to ask you to leave, mister. These people....don't take kindly to outsiders sticking their noses in places that they don't belong.
It was at this moment that Crosshair picks up his 773 Firepuncher Rifle and places it on the table. Everyone in the room became tense as Crosshair surveyed the room.
Crosshair: We know the Meta Liberation Army has plans to bring Giran to Re-Destro. Why would the new leader of the Meta Liberation Army be interested in an information broker. Not unless you're using Giran as bait. To lure out the League of Villains.
The Pro Hero fell silent, telling Crosshair all he needed to hear.
Crosshair: I think we're done here.
Crosshair fires a single shot from his rifle which ricochets off the wall and hits every single person in the bar, all kill shots. As the entire room was cleared out, Swordkil snickers.
Swordkil: Goddamn, Crosshair.
Without saying a word, Crosshair picks up his rifle and walks out with Swordkil following him. In that moment, a collision course between the Bad Batch and Crosshair was underway.
