After the Bad Batch set themselves at the Quirk Training Camp, they began to train with the students of both Class 1-A and 1-B alongside the Wild, Wild Pussycats. The Bad Batch proved to be intense teachers as they didn't go easy on the students. After three days, the Wild, Wild Pussycats gave the students a test of courage. As the students began their test, the Bad Batch met up with the Wild, Wild Pussycats as well as Aizawa and Vlad King.

Mandalay: I gotta say, Hunter. You and the Bad Batch are proving to be...intense teachers.

Vlad King: You might be pushing them too hard, Hunter.

Tech: Actually, our collective teaching method is mild as compared to the more stricter teachers. We're simply following the guidelines set for us by both the Pussycats and Aizawa.

Hunter: We might be hard on the students, but we're not doing so unnecessarily. We're trying to push these students to their potential. I'll admit that it's not something we usually do, but we're giving it our best shot.

Aizawa was fully aware that the Bad Batch were out of their element. At the end of the day, the Bad Batch were more or less Pro Heroes rather than teachers.

Aizawa: The Bad Batch are more than capable of assisting us in training these students.

As the group continued to converse, Tech received a signal on his wrist gauntlet. Tech's full attention was on his wrist gauntlet as he began triangulating the signal. Soon enough, Tech interrupted the conversation.

Tech: I hate to interrupt the conversation, but I'm getting one of the sensor arrays has picked up a signal south of the Beast Forest.

Tech then used his Chart Quirk to present a holographic map of the coordinates where the signal was detected. It had a close proximity to the training camp.

Crosshair: Could be a wild animal.

Hunter: Possibly, but we can't take the chance.

Aizawa: You think it's a Villain attack?

Hunter: No way to tell. We'll check it out.

Wrecker: Finally! Some action!

With that, Hunter and the Bad Batch geared up and made their way to the coordinates and reached the sensor arrays. Tech began inspecting the sensor array.

Hunter: Anything, Tech?

Tech: The sensor array appears to be undamaged.

Hunter: Did you find any tracks, Crosshair?

Crosshair: None, sir.

The lack of tracks confused the Bad Batch. Even Tech was unable to find anything out of the ordinary. Suddenly, an explosion was heard. The Bad Batch soon turned their attention to see blue flames engulfing parts of the Beast Forest.

Hunter: What the hell?!

Tech quickly pulled up his holographic chart. He found no active signals.

Tech: I'm not picking up any signals!

Hunter: Let's get a move on!

Suddenly, shots were fired at the Bad Batch. The Bad Batch were able to take cover as the bullets hit the trees. Hunter used his Electromagnetic Sonar Quirk to root out the attackers.

Hunter: I'm picking up five tangos dead ahead!

Tech then used his Chart Quirk to pull up the area ahead of them. He saw only four Villains. Suddenly, Hunter is attacked by a Villain using a Sword Quirk. Before the rest of the Bad Batch could assist Hunter, they were attacked by the rest of the attackers with various Quirks. Hunter soon got a good look on the man's face. He had lightly tanned skin, thin honey brown eyes and a long face with dark pink hair. He also had curved, linear markings under his eyes and down his cheek which are a dark shade of purplish-pink.

Hunter: Swordkil.

Swordkil: Still paying hero, Hunter?

Hunter: Looks like you haven't changed much since we had to kick you out of the 99. You're still the arrogant son of a bitch who thinks too highly of himself.

Swordkil then kicked Hunter in the abdomen and slashed at his armor with the sword, but the armor protects him.

Swordkil: Meet the Shadow Dogs, Hunter.

The Bad Batch soon found themselves cornered by Swordkil and the rest of the Shadow Dogs.

Swordkil: I'd love to kill you, but we're pressed for time. But don't worry, we're far from finished. Wraith, get us out of here.

Wraith then unleashes a Teleportation Quirk which teleports the Shadow Dogs out of the area. Hunter attempts to use his Electromagnetic Sonar Quirk to track them down while Tech uses his Chart Quirk to try and map their position. Both attempts failed. Their attention soon fell on the attack at hand.

Hunter: We'll deal with them later! Those kids are gonna need a hand!

With that, the Bad Batch began making their way back to the training camp. As they did, Hunter began speaking with the rest of his squad.

Hunter: Tech? Did you get positive id on those guys Swordkil had with him?

Tech: Yes.

Tech then pulls up a holographic image of the people Swordkil was with. In the group were three men and one woman.

Tech: Soundcrusher, Taurus, Gunsmith and Wraith. All wanted international criminals and all heavy hitters.

Hunter: Looks like we're looking at some serious problems down the road. But for now, one problem at a time!

With that, the Bad Batch shifted their focus away from Swordkil and the Shadow Dogs and back to the attack on the Quirk Training Camp by the League of Villains. As the Bad Batch refocused their efforts, the Shadow Dogs made their presence known.
