As the raid on the Shie Hassaikai Compound intensified, the Bad Batch found themselves engaged in a fire fight against Swordkil and the Shadow Dogs. Gunsmith fired a volley of bullets on the Bad Batch's position. Tech uses his Chart Quirk to map out the positioning of the Shadow Dogs. He soon found a weak point through the ventilation shaft that allowed someone small enough to crawl through.
Tech: I found a weak point we can use!
Hunter: We're all ears, Tech!
Tech: There's a ventilation shaft right above us. If someone can get up there, they should be able to make their way directly above the Shadow Dogs. There they could attack them and give us an opening to take them down. Jiro should be able to fit in perfectly.
Jiro looked up to see the ventilation shaft above them. It was too high for any of them to climb up.
Jiro: There's no way I can reach up there!
Crosshair then aims his sniper rifle and shoots out the vent. Wrecker then approaches Jiro. Without warning, he grabs Jiro and throws her up the vent. Jiro was able to grab hold of the vent and enter inside.
Jiro: Holy shit....
Jiro takes a minute to catch her breath and calm her nerves. She then begins moving through the vents. As she does so, the entire building begins to rumble.
Jiro: That's not good....
Jiro calms her nerves and continues moving through the vents. Eventually, she finds herself right about the Shadow Dogs.
Swordkil: Looks like those bastards aren't going anywhere! Soundcrusher, flush them out!
Soundcrusher nods as he prepares to use his Sound Waves Quirk to try and flush the Bad Batch out. Seeing the opportunity, she breaks through the vent and lands on Soundcrusher's back. Jiro's sudden arrival provokes the Shadow Dogs.
Swordkil: Where the hell did she come from?!
As Jiro attacks Soundcrusher, Taurus grabs Jiro and slams her to the ground. Jiro was overpowered by Taurus as he grabs her by the throat.
Taurus: Big mistake, little girl.
Suddenly, the Bad Batch move in and attack the Shadow Dogs. Wrecker punches Taurus in the face, forcing him to let go of Jiro. As Jiro falls to her knees, she takes a minute to catch her breath.
Hunter: Don't let up, Echo!
Jiro: R...right!
Jiro got up and joined the rest of the Bad Batch in fighting the Shadow Dogs. An intense fight occurred in the corridors as the raid of the Shie Hassaikai Compound continued. Soon enough, the building began to tremble.
Swordkil: Looks like this little raid is starting to heat up. How long will it be before the Pros come bursting in to ruin our fun?
Hunter: Why don't we stick around and find out?
Swordkil: Tempting, but I'm afraid I don't have much time to stick around. Since you've gone and blew up that supply room, I'm out of a job.
Wrecker: How about a little trip to the emergency room?! My treat!
Wrecker moves to attack Swordkil, but Taurus tackles Wrecker and wrestles with him. Swordkil then attacks Hunter using his Sword Quirk. Hunter blocks the attack with his specialized combat knife. As the battle dragged on, a stalemate was reached. At the same time, the building began to tremble once more.
Tech: I'm picking up seismic activities in the building!
Swordkil: Guess that's our cue to leave. Wraith, it's time for us to leave.
Without hesitation, Wraith uses his Teleportation Quirk to teleport himself and the Shadow Dogs out of the building. As soon as he does it, the ceiling begins to cave in. The Bad Batch were able to get out of the way, but a large piece of the ceiling falls on Jiro's leg. Jiro yells in pain as she lies trapped underneath the rubble. Without hesitation, Wrecker grabs the rubble and tosses it aside. Hunter then tends to Jiro.
Hunter: Can you walk?
Jiro gets up and attempts to walk. But as she tries to walk, the pain in her leg makes it nearly impossible to walk.
Jiro: My leg....
Hunter: Don't worry, kid. I got you.
Hunter then picks up Jiro and begins carrying her to safety with the rest of the Bad Batch covering him.
Jiro: What now?
Hunter: We've done all we can here. The Pros will wrap up the rest.
The Bad Batch soon made their way back to the roof of the Shie Hassaikai Compound. As they did, the battle was beginning to wind down. Hunter then contacts Aizawa.
Hunter: Aizawa, We've taken care of the Quirk Destroying Drug manufacturing. How are things on your end?
Aizawa(Communicator): We've secured the Compound. We've captured Overhaul and his chief lieutenants.
Hunter: What about that kid you mentioned?
Aizawa(Communicator): She's safe.
As Hunter spoke with Aizawa, Jiro looked down at the rooftop to see a critically injured Sir Nighteye being loaded into an ambulance. As she looks upon the scene, Crosshair speaks with her.
Crosshair: You did good, kid. I'm impressed.
Jiro: T...thank you.
Crosshair: I had my doubts about you, but today, you showed that you belong on this team.
Jiro was caught off guard by this. She didn't expect to get any praise from Crosshair. Soon enough, the Havoc Marauder landed on the roof. Hunter carried Jiro to the medical bay to treat her leg injury. As the raid ended, Jiro got her first taste of working with the Bad Batch. While it was chaotic, Jiro felt confident that she could withstand it.
