Chapter 60-Lost or not?

Without a word, Gary exited the hospital. Wanting to vent his anger, he bought a can of beer to drown his worries.

He finished the beer in a gulp and squashed the empty can in his hand. In frustration, he threw the beer can into the sea and yelled.

'Why? Ji Hyo ah! Why!' Gary's legs gave way and he kneeled on the ground.

(In the hospital...)

Ji Hyo was still being operated, while the others paced around outside nervously.

'This is not the first time she's been in the hospital,' Haha sighed.

'But noona has always miraculously survived,' Kwang Soo smiled.

'Yah! That doesn't mean we can be so relaxed. We should give her more support by encouraging her on!' Jong Kook reprimanded.

'Yea hyung,' Kwang Soo nodded obediently.

'Jong Kook ah, aren't you a little too harsh on him?' Jae Suk commented.

'I don't think so! Wae?' Joong Kook stood up in front of Jae Suk, ready to pick a fight as he started to glare.

'Jae Suk hyung, it's okay,' Kwang Soo timidly interfered them.

'Yah, what do you want? Why are you so close?' Jae Suk rose up too, while ignoring Kwang Soo.

Jong Kook was about to lift his hand, but was stopped by Haha.

'Hyung, calm down,' Haha had a grip on Jong Kook's arm. Joong Ki was dumbfounded.

'Yah, were you going to hit me? For goodness sake, I'm your hyung. What has gotten into you today? Are toy here to sow discord between us? You assaulted Gary just now, and now me?' Jae Suk lectured Jong Kook.

Taking a deep breath, Jong Kook sat down, while looking away, feeling embarrassed.

(Outside the hospital...)

While entering the hospital, Gary was also reading the latest news on his phone. Soon enough, he chanced upon an article regarding Ji Hyo being hospitalized. Enraged, he quickened his footsteps, heading into the hospital.

'How's Ji Hyo?' Gary hung his head low while speaking, feeling embarrassed.

'She's still inside,' Joong Ki replied.

'Aish,' Gary sat down.

After 4 hours, the members were all exhausted, and Ji Hyo has yet to come out.

It was now evening, and the members have yet to eat one single bit since the afternoon.

'We should go grab a bite or something,' Joong Ki suggested.

'I've no appetite,' Gary waved his hand.

'Ji Hyo wouldn't want to see you guys like this,' Haha mentioned.

'How about Gary stay here? The rest of us can help him buy something to eat while he waits till Ji Hyo is recovered,' Jae Suk said.

'Good idea. Thanks guys,' Gary thanked them.

'No problem,' the remaining members and Joong Ki left afterwards.

Alone, Gary's thoughts were all occupied with Ji Hyo. His energy was completely seeped out of him and true enough, he drifted off to sleep in a few moments.

While Gary was asleep, the operation ended and it was a success. The nurses didn't inform Gary about it as they saw that he was in a deep sleep and didn't want to wake him up. The nurses and doctor had also left the room, and had transferred Ji Hyo into another ward.

Subsequently, a series of unfortunate events took place. In a matter of a few seconds, the hospital was in pitched black and soon, a blackout occurred.

Sadly, Gary was still in a deep slumber as the noises were in other areas of the hospital, and he was not affected by it.

Loud bangs and screams could be heard in certain areas of the hospital as CCTVs were shut down one by one.

At this juncture, Gary was woken up by the noises. Only thinking about Ji Hyo, he made his way in the darkness into the operation room which Ji Hyo was in.

'Ji Hyo? Are you there?' Gary shouted in the dark.

'Oh no,' he thought, after getting absolutely no reply and seeing no silhouette.

Drenched in sweat, Gary rushed out of the room, trying to find his way to the nearest information counter.

Not long later, the hospital returned back to normal and the lights were all back.

'Save my Ji Hyo... She's missing again!' Gary managed, upon reaching the information counter.
