Chapter 27-Everything went wrong

'What? Did I say anything wrongly?' Nick scratched his head in confusion.

'You really don't know them?' Eun Hye gasped in shock as she pointed at Jae Suk and Gary.

'Yeah,' Nick answered innocently.

Just then, a doctor walked in and said, 'Hi, I'm here to talk to you about Nick's condition.'

The others then greeted the doctor back with a bow.

'This is bad news I'm going to announce. Your friend, Nick, has selective amnesia,' the doctor took off his glasses and wanted to continue but got interrupted, which irritated him a little.

'What's selective amnesia?' Jae Suk asked.

'In Nick's case, he forgot part of his memory and only remembers the other part of his memory which he wants to remember. Although he got stabbed in the stomach, his fell down and his head hit the ground which caused internal bleeding. He then got a concussion and this was how he got selective amnesia,' the doctor analysed in detail.

'Ohh,' the others answered in unison,again.

'So, what do you remember?' Eun Hye turned to face Nick.

'I only remember dating Ji Hyo and I'm studying in university. And you always sent me love letters, remember?' Nick answered.

Eun Hye blushed and replied, 'But that's years ago. Ten, to be exact.'

'So, are Ji Hyo and I still dating? Or, are we married?' Nick grinned.

'That's not important. For now, Ji Hyo's safety is more important,' Gary closed his eyes, deep in thought.

(An abandoned office, somewhere in Korea…)

Ji Hyo woke up and found herself sitting on an old wooden chair, her hands tied to the chair with strong, thick ropes. She knew it wasn't so easy to escape this time. Fortunately, at least for her, she could talk as her mouth wasn't taped.

'Yah, Suk Jin oppa! Lee Kwang Soo! Let me go!' Ji Hyo screamed at the top of her lungs.

'Why did I even bother to call my kidnapper ''oppa''?' Ji Hyo thought as she sighed.

'What now?' Suk Jin walked out, wearing a similar ninja costume as what Kwang Soo previously wore when he kidnapped Ji Hyo.

'Why you? I thought Kwang Soo was the only culprit!' Ji Hyo exclaimed in fear.

'Well, I am the mastermind. He's only a stupid puppet of mine,' Suk Jin grinned, looking at the knife in his hands.

'Puppet?' Ji Hyo asked.

'Last time, when he was young, that rascal often got abused by his parents. When he grew up, that violent personality of his got sparked. I just need his evil personality to come out and then he will help me to achieve my goal,' Suk Jin explained.

'Goal? Why kidnap me in the first place?' Ji Hyo struggled, trying to get out of the thick and strong ropes.

'When I was young, your father, who was the boss of my father, fired him without any reason. Because of that, our family became poor. To support my mother and I, my dad worked very hard everyday. As such, one day, he worked so hard that he overstressed himself and died. Your father was the one who killed my dad and made my family and I poor. It's definitely much easier for me to kidnap and kill you than to do it to your father. My ulterior motive is revenge.' Suk Jin smiled again.

'Wow. That's absurd. But how did u change Kwang Soo's personality so fast? And where is he?' Ji Hyo asked again.

'Simple. One day, when we were out together, he suddenly fainted due to fatigue. I brought him to my house and eventually realised that whenever he faints, it would bring out the other personality of his. He's such a weird kid.' Suk Jin paused. ' Then, I just have to put xxx pill in his water and he just have to drink it, making him faint. And then, I just have to keep reminding him that you're his target. He's now currently unconscious,' Suk Jin sat down on a chair, opposite of Ji Hyo.

'Just like what you did in the hospital, you spiked his water. You were the one who handed him that glass of water. That's why he suddenly attacked Eun Ji.' Ji Hyo blurted out.

'Very smart, you're indeed the Ace. But I hired someone to spiked the whole water jug actually. It was such a perfect plan, and enough talking,' Suk Jin grinned from ear to ear as he taped Ji Hyo's mouth.

Just then, footsteps could be heard and Kwang Soo walked out. There was this evil glint in his eyes which Ji Hyo identified.

'Perfect timing, get rid of her now,' Suk Jin laughed uncontrollably.

'Why is everything going wrong?' Ji Hyo thought as she cried, ready for death to welcome her.
