Chapter 46-A Dilemma

Gary left the room in his pajamas. But he was so preoccupied with Ji Hyo that he even forgot that his friends were outside. 

"Oh?" Gary blamed himself for being so stupid.

"Gary?" Everyone stood up.

All of a sudden, Gary sprinted towards the entrance of the hospital. Everyone was appalled. The girls were stood rooted to the ground, while the remaining three men chased after him.

"This scene was very similar to what Ji Hyo had done," Jong Kook thought to himself.

As usual, the quickest Jong Kook caught Gary near the reception counter.

"What are you doing?" Jong Kook panted, with the others behind them.

"Ugh!" Gary grunted, feeling frustrated. He also cursed under his breath. Not only did he have to give an explanation now, he wasn't able to meet Ji Hyo now, looking at the current situation.

"I just wanted to see Ji Hyo," Gary finally spoke as he sat down on a chair.

"Gary ah. We'll ask her to call you tomorrow and explain to you why she left. Maybe there was an emergency or something," Jae Suk huffed for air.

"Promise?" Gary asked in disbelief.

"We promise," Haha answered, placing his arms at his hips.

(At Ji Hyo's house..)

Ji Hyo slumped on her sofa, after having taken a good bath. Although it was still early in the evening, Ji Hyo was very tired as exhaustion overwhelmed her. 

Suddenly, her phone buzzed and she picked up the call. 

"Hello?" Ji Hyo sighed.

"Ji Hyo yah?" It was Jong Kook.

"Jong Kook oppa? What's the matter?" Ji Hyo bit her lip.

"How are you? Feeling better? Can you tell me what happened? And why were you so cold to me?" 

"I'm fine. Can we talk tomorrow? I'm feeling kind of weary," Ji Hyo rubbed her forehead.

"Okay. Can we meet tomorrow at xxx restaurant? We have to talk. It's about the letter you received, I think I might have solved it. I'm not sure though," Jong Kook conveyed his words with a quick speed.

"Fine. Is Gary oppa coming?" Ji Hyo asked.

"Oh, speaking of him, he woke up." Ji Hyo was overjoyed. "And we do have to talk about him tomorrow, he won't be coming tomorrow though," Jong Kook replied.

"Oh alright. We'll meet tomorrow. I'm going to get some rest now. Ji Hyo wanted to escape from all this. "Bye," she continued.

"Good night," Jong Kook answered.

"Night," Ji Hyo hung up in exasperation.

Ji Hyo knew she had to attend the meeting tomorrow. After all, it concerns a life and it was very important. Like an emergency. She was about to take a nap on the sofa when the doorbell rang.

She was taken aback by surprise as she opened the door. It was Nick, with a smile plastered on his face. 

"Ji Hyo noona," Nick gave a slight nod and held out his hands, revealing a bouquet of flowers. It was Ji Hyo's favourite flowers, roses.

"Thanks. What are you doing here?" Ji Hyo smelled the roses, feeling a little touched by Nick's kind gesture.

"Can we go on a date now?" Nick gave a sudden request.

"Now? What?" Ji Hyo was practically stunned. Only till now, Ji Hyo noticed Nick's outfit. The suit was blue, sharp-looking, and well fitted. Exactly the sort of thing that a woman would pick out for her man to a formal event. This was something which made Ji Hyo a bit nervous. The suit fitted Nick very well, and when he smiled, Ji Hyo felt that it was a little magical. In fact, she couldn't take her eyes off him. After all, Ji Hyo knew that both Gary and her was drifting apart from each other.

"Are you checking me out?" Nick teased, giving a slight chortle.

"No!" Ji Hyo blushed as she studied Nick again. For some reason, Ji Hyo felt refreshed now.

"So, yes or no?" Nick said. 

"Why can't I seem to resist him? Maybe I should go on the date. But I feel bad towards Gary oppa. Still, I might get more information about whatever Nick and Eun Hye is planning with, but why is he asking me out?" Ji Hyo was in a dilemma.
