Chapter 71-Arrested

'So are you going to confess or not?' the officer raised his voice.

'I said I did not push her down or anything,' Gary panted.

After Gary's interrogation, everyone had a conversation with the police officer.

'So, all of you can leave except,' the officer checked his papers, 'Kang Gary.'

'Why? We already said he wasn't involved, it was just an accident,' Jae Suk pointed out.

"Miss Eun Hye here said that Mr Gary had a motive to kill Jeong Eun Ji, therefore he will be detained for another 48 hours till we find more evidence," the officer explained.

'What?' Jong Kook stared at Eun Hye.

Without another word, the police officer dragged Gary to his cell.

'This is unbelievable! To think I forgave you the last time you guys tried to kill me? Now, please leave!' Jae Suk shouted.

'But..' Eun Hye stammered while looking pitifully at Jong Kook.

'Go!' Jae Suk instructed while Jong Kook had his eyes on the floor.

Left with no choice, Eun Hye and Nick took their leave.

'Oh god, this is really bad. We were just too stupid to believe the both of them. They have been ruining our lives again and again.. What have we done?' Kwang Soo looked at the ceiling.

'Stop complaining... What happened has already happened... So, let's get out of here and visit Ji Hyo noona,' Joong Ki led the guys out.

After some time, the guys reached the hospital, hoping that Haha was taking care of Ji Hyo well.

As they entered the ward, they only saw Ji Hyo dressed in hospital clothing which looked like pyjamas, and she was lying on the plain hospital bed, with her eyes shut.

'God, where can Haha possibly be, he definitely deserves a scolding!' Jong Kook sat on a chair.

'Noona?' Kwang Soo shook Ji Hyo gently.

'Don't disturb her!' Joong Ki warned.

'Hmm?' Ji Hyo blinked a few times as bright light entered her eyes.

'Ji Hyo? You're awake?' Jae Suk exclaimed while everyone gathered around the bed.

'Yes... Oh, are you guys fine?' Ji Hyo had a sudden recollection of her memories after fainting.

'Yeah, how about you? By the way did you see Haha?' Jong Kook responded.

'I'm feeling better now... He was here a while ago but he went to the toilet. Where's Gary?' Ji Hyo realized.

'Yah, how many times have you been to the hospital?' Jae Suk attempted to change the topic.

'Oppa, what happened to Gary?' Ji Hyo was relentless.

'He's... coming up... soon...' Joong Ki couldn't bring himself to say it.

'Come on, or I'll leave this place now!' Ji Hyo threatened.

'Fine, we'll come clean with you. Gary... is... being detained by the police...' Kwang Soo stuttered.

'What happened? Why is he arrested?' Ji Hyo asked.

'Calm down, it's all because of her...' Jae Suk said.

'Who?' Ji Hyo furrowed her eyebrows.

After explaining everything to Ji Hyo, she was surprised.

'Nick... He's...evil?' Ji Hyo trembled.

'I'm afraid so...' Jae Suk replied.

Ji Hyo blamed herself for being such a fool, and decided not to trust anyone easily anymore.

'I jus hope that Gary oppa will be strong,' Ji Hyo hoped.

'He will be...' Jae Suk comforted her.

Just then, the door flew open and it was Haha.

'Oppa?' Ji Hyo was glad that he was back.

'Go,' Haha announced. Without looking at them, Haha was staring ahead.

'Go? Go where?' Joong Ki questioned.

'I mean, let's go to the police station and visit Ka... Gary,' he spoke.

'Hmm, I really want to see him. Let's go!' Ji Hyo was excited.

'Are you sure you are fit to go?' Jae Suk was concerned.

'I'm very sure that I'm in the right state of mind and I'm fit to go! Besides they, don't call me the Ace for nothing right?

Everyone in the room burst into laughter, besides Haha who was acting weird.

Little did they know that something bad was going to happen and danger was imminent.

(In the police station..)

The guys who were at the police station were bored to death as they have been there already once. In contrast to this, Ji Hyo couldn't wait to see her boyfriend.

'Oops, I forgot to change out. Oh well, that's not important. I just hope Gary oppa is safe..' Ji Hyo looked at her outfit as she thought.

'Miss Song Ji Hyo?' A police stepped out.

'Yeah?' Ji Hyo was doing her mong face.

'Mr Kang is ready to see you,' the officer explained.

'Oh, okay. I'll get going,' Ji Hyo waved goodbye at the others and they had bid Ji Hyo farewell. It was as if Ji Hyo was going away forever.

'Don't worry,' Jae Suk called after Ji Hyo.

How could Ji Hyo not worry? Among the countless times Ji Hyo was admitted into the hospital, she had regarded that place as her second home. Besides, Ji Hyo was certain that Gary must be worried about her too.

In her mind, Ji Hyo also knew that Haha has been acting weird... Perhaps was he...

'Miss Song, we've reached,' the officer disrupted Ji Hyo's train of thoughts. He pressed onto the handle and pushed the door open, revealing Gary in a jail uniform. He had looked much older just after a few hours, and he looked like as if he hasn't eaten or drank in a few days.

'Oppa!' Ji Hyo embraced Gary.

'Ji Hyo ah!' Gary rest his head on the top of her head.

'No contact please,' the officer reminded them.

Both of them had forgotten about the officer's existence and quickly took their seats.

'How have you been, you look weary,' Ji Hyo said.

'I'm fine, you?' Gary felt the awkwardness in the room.

'Same here. They told me what happened to you...' Ji Hyo trailed off.

'I see,' Gary nodded.

'Oppa, I miss my appa,' Ji Hyo confessed.

'Ji Hyo ah, you have to let go,' Gary held Ji Hyo's hand. Luckily, the officer wasn't looking at all.

'Well, the last time we met, I fought with him... And do you remember my father disliked you because you're a rapper?' Ji Hyo asked.

'As a matter of fact, I do,' Gary responded.

'Well, let me tell you the reason .... the truth then...' Ji Hyo sighed.
