Chapter 36-The Monday Couple's fate

After hearing what Ji Hyo's father had said, Gary took a seat on the remaining sofa which was facing Ji Hyo's dad desk.

Ji Hyo's dad first cleared his throat and was now ready to speak. "The two of you have the status of Monday Couple on the show Running Man, am I right?" Ji Hyo's dad asked immediately.

Ji Hyo was astonished and was in a mong state, while his boyfriend only could utter a word, "Yes."

"So, I want the both of you to let everyone know that there is no more Monday Couple, including the viewers." Ji Hyo's father continued without hesitation.

"What? Why?" Ji Hyo babbled, feeling upset.

"Because, you said you have a boyfriend and I believe that your boyfriend will agree with me too," Ji Hyo's dad spoke with confidence.

"Ji Hyo's dad, I'm actually..." Gary was cut off by Ji Hyo's dad's ringing phone and both of them were asked to be excused outside for Ji Hyo's dad to take the phone call.

(Outside Ji Hyo's dad's office...)

"Omo, Gary oppa, I can't believe what just happened," Ji Hyo sighed.

"Stress!" Gary yelled, but not loud enough to let Ji Hyo's dad hear.

"Shhh. So what do you think we should do next? This is so daebak!" Ji Hyo whispered.

"I know! Your dad called me here and I thought you told him that we were together or something. I was so excited I even wore a tuxedo!" Gary pouted, making Ji Hyo giggle.

"But it was completely opposite of what you expected," Ji Hyo leaned on Gary's shoulder.

"Do you want to tell your dad now about us?" Gary pointed at the both of them.

"Hmm, I don't know. I don't think it's the time yet, maybe next time?" Ji Hyo looked at Gary who just nodded concedingly.

'By the way, my dad even asked me to move in with him and hired a bodyguard for me but I refused,' Ji Hyo chuckled to herself.

Just then, there was a buzz in her pocket. She realised it was a text and decided not to look at it.

'Wow, really? He's probably worried about you after you got kidnapped,' Gary analysed.

At that moment, Ji Hyo's dad stepped out of his office and invited the both of them back to his office again.

Without any delay, the three of them sat back in their origninal positions.

"So, as I was saying..." Ji Hyo's dad was now interrupted by two knocks on the door.

"Come in," Ji Hyo's dad instructed, feeling agaitated about the fact that the conversation was cut off repeatedly.

The person who entered left the Monday Couple speechless and shocked. Likewise, the person hurriedly bowed towards Ji Hyo's dad.

'He's the new bodyguard I told you about,' Ji Hyo's dad gestured.

And the new bodyguard was none other than Nick.
