Chapter 45-On a mission

"Ji Hyo? Are you alright?" Jong Kook called out, jolting Ji Hyo back to reality.

"Yeah. I got to go, oppas. Bye," Ji Hyo cried and hurriedly ran away.

"What?"Jong Kook, Haha and Jae Suk were stunned.

"I'll get her," Jong Kook dashed in Ji Hyo's direction.

Not far from the entrance, Jong Kook caught Ji Hyo and she was still sobbing.

"Ji Hyo ah, what exactly happened? Why do you have to leave?" Jong Kook queried, knowing that something was definitely wrong. It was just his instinct.

"Nothing. Let go of me!" Ji Hyo freed herself from Jong Kook and bolted out.

Jong Kook was about to give chase but Ji Hyo shouted," Don't even think about following me!" Jong Kook knew that something was strange.

If Gary was Ji Hyo's boyfriend, why would Ji Hyo leave Gary in the lurch? Jong Kook realized that he had to get to the bottom of this. He was worried about his two best friends.

Although he wanted to give chase, deep down in his heart, he knew that it was no use and Ji Hyo really had to sort out her feelings for Gary.

Back at outside Gary's ward, Eun Hye and Eun Ji were informed and they arrived. The two girls, Jae Suk and  Haha were allowed to visit Gary as he woke up. They were allowed to see him for a short period of time with the doctor's consent.

Gary looked frail. His face was as pale as a sheet and his eyes were focused on the ceilings. Seeing that his friends had taken their time off to visit him, Gary's face lit up.

Gary wanted to sit up, but Jae Suk asked him to lie down as he was in the midst of recovery.

'Gary, how are you?' Jae Suk questioned.

'I'm feeling better.' Gary looked around. 'Where's Ji Hyo? How are my friends?' Gary continued, asking countless of  questions.

'Gary hyung, calm down first. I'm afraid you can't take the blow. I can't tell you,' Haha took off his hat and looked at the others.

'Tell me,' Gary was already agitated.

'I can't…' Jae Suk was interrupted.

'Tell. Me. Now.' Gary pronounced each word slowly.

Just then, Jong Kook walked in, with a solemn look on his face.

'Gary ah, you woke up?' Jong Kook gave a brotherly hug to Gary. The other members felt uneasy, not knowing if they should tell Gary about what happened.

'Yea hyung. Now, tell me, where's Ji Hyo and my friends? I promise I will stay calm and composed,' Gary promised.

Leaving with no choice, Jae Suk told Gary about what happened, including about the deaths of his friends and the fact that Ji Hyo had suddenly left.

The others gritted their teeth and crossed their fingers while listening, hoping that Gary won't be affected negatively.

'Please go out now, I need to rest,' Gary said.

'Gary hyung…' Haha was cut off by Gary.

'Out now!' Gary suddenly screamed at the top of his lungs, unable to control his emotions.

This startled the rest, and they immediately did as they told and proceeded outside.

Jae Suk blamed himself for telling Gary about what had happened. The others regretted too and were really shocked by Gary's sudden mood swing.

In the ward, Gary buried his head in his hands in sorrow. He felt that it was entirely his fault, just like how Ji Hyo blamed herself.

'Can it be that Ji Hyo blamed herself too, so she didn't dare to see me?' Gary had a sudden thought.

Without a second thought, Gary stood up and prepared to head outside. Although he felt giddy, he had to complete his 'mission'. Regardless of his condition, Gary had to go. He was on an important mission. It was now or never. He was very worried, like Jong Kook.

On a mission to find his loved one and talk things out properly out with her.
