Chapter 62-The Secret

Gary slipped the note into his pocket and hurried off to buy some roses for Ji Hyo for her recovery.

(In Ji Hyo's ward...)

The running man members and Ji Hyo were all happily chatting.

Although everyone was laughing away, Ji Hyo has put on a fake smile and was worried about her boyfriend.

Just as she was deep in thought, someone knocked on the door and said, 'Guess who?'

'Aigoo, he can't be more obvious,' Jae Suk shook his head.

Gary then entered the room, and Ji Hyo had a enormous grin on her face as she said, 'You're here.'

'Look at noona's face,' Kwang Soo teased.

'Yah!'' Ji Hyo glared at Kwang Soo while smiling.

All this while, Gary had his hands behind his back, and then, revealed a bouquet or roses.

'For you,' Gary slightly blushed.

'Aww!' the others squealed.

'Thanks,' Ji Hyo's spirit was immediately lifted up.

'Well, we shouldn't disturb you,' the members left in a hurry.

'Ji Hyo ah, how are you feeling now?' Gary asked with much concern.

'I'm.. fine..' Ji Hyo looked away with shame.

'What's wrong?' Gary tugged on Ji Hyo's arm.

'I am too ashamed to face you. You see, I'm really dangerous and I think it wouldn't do you any good being with me,' Ji Hyo confessed.

'Wae? We have been together for so long, I'm not afraid. And besides, I love you,' Gary poked Ji Hyo's forehead.

'Ahh, oppa! It hurts..' Ji Hyo pouted.

"Yah, my heart hurts even more when you're like this," Gary smiled.

"Ahhh," Ji Hyo exclaimed as beads of perspiration formed on her forehead and she was feeling dizzy.

"What's wrong?" Gary was shocked.

"I feel weak.." Ji Hyo held onto Gary's arm tightly.

"Jae Suk hyung!" Gary called out.

"Yea?" Jae Suk came in after hearing Gary's call.

"Help me call a doctor, Ji Hyo's not feeling well," Gary was supporting Ji Hyo with his arms.

"Right away," Jae Suk did as he was told.

A few moments later, a doctor and a few nurses arrived and the members were all waiting outside.

"What happened to noona? Is it a relapse or something?" Joong Ki inquired.

'I don't know.. Why does she always get hurt or get sick? It's like the hospital is her second home,' Gary was mad.

'Gary ah, calm down, Ji Hyo wouldn't want you to be like this,' Jae Suk comforted him.

After much waiting, the doctor diagnosed that Ji Hyo had a high fever and would have to be in the hospital for a few days.

The members were all worried about Ji Hyo's condition and watched over her for many hours.

'It's late. You guys should go,' Gary said.

'Alright, see you,' the rest had work the following day, except Gary.

Throughout the night, Gary didn't get to sleep at all as he was busy taking care of Ji Hyo, anticipating her to wake up.

Every one or two minute, Gary would wipe Ji Hyo's forehead with a towel caringly.

Around midnight, Gary took out his phone and texted someone. He then left a note beside Ji Hyo's bed.

'Ji Hyo ah, I'm sorry for doing this. I hope you know that I'm doing this for you,' Gary whispered into her ear.

Abruptly, he pecked Ji Hyo on her forehead and left quietly.

Gary got into his car and drove to a destination in mind.

'I must be crazy,' Gary muttered to himself as he reached the place in the dark night.

With heavy steps, he headed towards the old and abandoned building. All of a sudden, Gary was hit on his head and he passed out instantly.

In a few minutes, he regained conciousness.

'I was surprised that you came,' Eun Hye appeared.

'I can't believe you used the old dirty trick to knock me out. Just like what happened to Jong Kook the last time,' Gary said, unsurprised by Eun Hye's appearance.

'How smart. You're right. But why did you come anyway? Didn't you know that it was a trap?' Eun Hye asked.

'I knew. I figured that you will stop hurting Ji Hyo if I came. Am I right? And I want to know what great secret you have about Ji Hyo,' Gary replied.

'Very clever indeed!' Eun Hue clapped. 'Shall I reveal her secret now?' She could not control her grin.
