Chapter 52-An incident after another

Joong Ki, not knowing what he's doing, inched closer to the sleeping Ji Hyo, wanting to kiss his noona.

When their lips were only a few centimetres apart, Joong Ki shook his head and returned to reality. He gave a light slap to himself, realizing what he was about to do was wrong.

Before going to bed, he carried Ji Hyo to his bed, used a warm towel to wipe Ji Hyo's face and covered her with a blanket. Soon, both of them fell asleep, with Joong Ki sleeping on a sofa in the living room.

(The next day...)

Gary finally woke up, after sleeping for a long time as he was drugged by Eun Hye. He was still mad at Ji Hyo and Nick as they had secretly went out on a date.

"If I hadn't gone to the restaurant, I wouldn't have known," Gary let out a long sigh.

Feeling bored and down, Gary decided to update himself by reading the news. As he scrolled down to the first news, the headlines left Gary in aghast.

Kang Gary and Yoon Eun Hye caught kissing in the hospital. Are they in a midst of a relationship?

Many pictures of them kissing from different angles were posted online.

Upon reading all these comments, Gary slumped down on the bed, as if his soul flew away. He slapped himself a few times, thinking that this was all a nightmare. He closed his eyes and tried to remember what exactly happened, but could not recall anything.

He could only remember that he was sleeping the day before, and that Eun Hye came and visited him and he fell asleep. 

"Stress!" Gary howled as he threw his phone on the bed.

Feeling sad, he started to write lyrics about his unconditional love for Ji Hyo and the tough times they had gone through on a piece of paper. Gary started to sob uncontrollably and as he continued to write the lyrics, his tears dripped onto the paper.

Rubbing his reddened and slightly swollen eyes, Gary went on the compose the lyrics for a new love song. It was evident that he really loved Ji Hyo a lot. 

(At Joong Ki's place...)

Ji Hyo was finally awake, and realized that she was late for work. She was also momentarily stunned that she was in Joong Ki place, after seeing Joong Ki sleeping on the sofa in the living room. 

Feeling touched that Joong Ki took care of her so well, Ji Hyo quickly took a shower in Joong Ki's bathroom quietly and got ready for work. Without waking Joong Ki up as she knew he must be exhausted, Ji Hyo hurriedly left for work.

(At X Building...)

Ji Hyo had just finished shooting a drama and was preparing to leave. Her car was parked quite far away and she had to walk for five minutes. As she strolled to her car, many people who walked past her, including fans and celebrities, all shook their heads, with sympathetic expressions on their faces.

Ji Hyo could not understand what was going on, and instantly went mong as she reached her car. In distraught, she decided to use her handphone to calm herself down and relax after a day's busy work. 

Soon, Ji Hyo knew about the news and finally realized what was going on. She was livid with anger and thought that Gary was taking revenge because he saw Nick and Ji Hyo in the restaurant the previous time. Feeling exasperated, she drove back home.

Meanwhile, Eun Hye was contented with what she had done. She asked Nick to act as an anonymous caller and told the reporters about Eun Hye and Gary who were kissing in the hospital. Eun Hye went all out for this and didn't care about the rules of the company that she was working for. It was now time for part two of the plan.

On the other hand, news about Gary and Eun Hye had spread like wild fire all around the world and everyone knew about the new "couple", even the other running man members. 

Just when Ji Hyo thought her day couldn't get any worse, something happened. All of a sudden, the running man members had received a text almost at the same time.

Jae Suk is in the hospital now, he's currently in an operation, please come to xxx hospital now!

From: Jae Suk's wife

To: Haha, Ji Hyo, Kwang Soo, Jong Kook and Gary

Taken aback by the news, everyone rushed to the hospital simultaneously without any other further instructions.
